On the evening of December 30, at Quang Ninh Gate tourist area, Dong Trieu city and the Provincial Business Association held the opening ceremony of a trade fair, exhibition and the inauguration of a night-time economic model. This is one of a series of events to celebrate the establishment of Dong Trieu city.
The event will take place from December 30, 2024 to January 2, 2025, attracting more than 120 booths with more than 1,000 products on science and technology, construction materials, handicrafts, ceramics, cuisine and OCOP products typical of regions of nearly 100 enterprises and cooperatives in Dong Trieu city, localities in the province and provinces in the Northern region. All booths are exempt from service fees.
The exhibition booths connected with the rural market space at Quang Ninh Gate tourist area have created a completely new space for exhibitions and trade fairs that have taken place.
Piloting the night-time economic development model, cultural and culinary events will be held at the rural market and entertainment areas in the Quang Ninh Gate tourist area on weekends. Residents and tourists will be free to enter the tourist area.
As the western gateway city of the province, the economy develops with regional and inter-regional connectivity. Events such as trade fairs and exhibitions held in tourist areas like this not only realize the pilot model in developing the night-time economy, but also act as a bridge in connecting trade, creating more products to stimulate tourism and retain tourists. Thereby, contributing to increasing the proportion of trade, services, and tourism in the economic restructuring of Dong Trieu after the city's establishment.
