Dong Trieu: Many areas are deeply flooded

Due to the impact of storm No. 3, many areas in Dong Trieu have been flooded. Especially in the areas outside the Thuy An, Nguyen Hue, and Hong Phong dykes, many households have been flooded; many residential areas have been isolated. Households in dangerous areas have been assisted by authorities to move to safe areas.

Currently, in weak dyke areas, the town's functional forces and local people are focusing on reinforcing, using sandbags and stone cages to prevent water, ensuring people's safety. In particular, the Disaster Prevention Team is actively working to ensure people's safety.

It is known that localities have prepared equipment, supplies and materials to prevent storms and floods such as: 172 cars; 50 excavators; 620 hoes and shovels; 26,513 pineapple bags in the warehouse; 3,621 bamboo poles; 200 life buoys; 100 life jackets ; reserve supplies of Dong Trieu town include: 11,675 sacks; 1,975m2 of filter cloth; 163 steel baskets; 1,216kg of steel wire; 300 life buoys; 250 life jackets; 4 light life rafts; 2 sets of 16.5m2 tents; 6 sets of 24.75m2 tents.

Rock reserves at key dike points: Volume ^1,106m3 , in Binh Duong commune ^330m3 , Nguyen Hue ^94m3 , Viet Dan ^290m3 , Hong Phong ward ^270m3 , Duc Chinh ward ^122m3 .
