Leaders of Vietnam Sports Administration work with Vietnam Olympic Committee

On the morning of July 23, in order to review the activities that have been carried out and grasp the implementation of plans in the coming time, Director of the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet chaired a working session with the Vietnam Olympic Committee.

Accordingly, in the first 6 months of 2025, the Vietnam Olympic Committee has successfully completed the proposed Work Plan; implemented many highly effective sports activities, from the sports movement for everyone in the country to high-performance sports in the international arena.

Specifically, in the field of Sports for All, the Vietnam Olympic Committee continues to coordinate and accompany localities, Federations, and member associations to successfully organize the Olympic Running Day for the health of all people on the occasion of the anniversary of the establishment of the Sports Industry (March 27); a series of events of Olympic Day; Children's Olympic Day to celebrate the anniversary of the IOC's founding with socialized funding with more than 10,000 participants...

Regarding Olympic education and training, the Vietnam Olympic Committee has coordinated with the Vietnam Sports Department, the Sports Information and Communication Center, and related units to successfully organize the Digital Transformation Workshop in the Vietnam Olympic Movement in 2025. The workshop was organized to apply digital technology to develop the Olympic movement in Vietnam, helping to raise awareness of the role and importance of innovation and digital transformation in management and operation; training, competition organization, database synthesis on the Vietnam Olympic Movement as well as promoting communication activities of Sports and Olympic organizations on digital platforms.

Regarding high-performance sports activities and participation in major international sporting events in the region, continent and the world, the Vietnam Olympic Committee has been actively preparing work and synthesizing information from the Organizing Committee of international sports events for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation to participate in the 33rd SEA Games, the 13th ASEAN Para Games in Thailand, the 3rd Asian Youth Games (AYG 3) in Bahrain, and the Asian Winter Games in Harbin, China.

In foreign affairs, the Vietnam Olympic Committee continues to expand and strengthen cooperative relationships with international sports organizations, national/territorial Olympic Committees of the region, continent and the world; seek support from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), programs, events, courses, and office operating expenses sponsored by the OCA and IOC to implement the 2025 action plan.

In the final months of 2025, one of the important and challenging tasks for Vietnamese Sports is to participate in the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand and the Asian Youth Games in Bahrain.

At the meeting, Director of the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department, Vice President of the Vietnam Olympic Committee Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet suggested: In the coming time, the Vietnam Olympic Committee will continue to review the staff, consider and consolidate personnel in the direction of streamlining, compactness, efficiency, effectiveness and efficiency. In addition, focus on reviewing the implementation of tasks and plans to promote the Olympic movement higher, further and stronger.

The Director also hopes that the staff of the Vietnam Olympic Committee will promote solidarity, intelligence, improve professional qualifications, focus on studying legal documents to serve the work that each staff is currently undertaking, thereby contributing to the development of the Vietnam Olympic movement in general and other activities of the industry in particular. It is necessary to closely coordinate, promote the role and responsibility of the Federation and Association, strengthen the role of state management, focus on promoting strong sports, especially sports that are loved by the people.

In addition, according to Director Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet, the Vietnam Olympic Committee, in addition to continuing to focus on completing assigned tasks, needs to coordinate more closely with units inside and outside the industry in managing, consulting, calling for support, supplementing supplements, functional foods, and nutritional products to ensure quality for athletes to improve their physical strength; carefully consulting with partner units in information and propaganda work on banned substances (Doping) in sports training and competition.

In addition, the Olympic Committee needs to continue to maintain and promote the Olympic movement, thereby helping Federations and Associations have a basis for concretization in accordance with the nature and professional profession; select truly excellent and typical athletes from grassroots tournaments, supplementing forces for sports; improve communication and orientation work; actively mobilize resources to increase policies and regimes, strengthen sponsorship mobilization work, and manage resources well to "collect correctly, collect enough, spend correctly, spend enough" towards the interests of athletes, and resolutely overcome deviations.
