Vietjet shares hit ceiling, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao is the second richest person in Vietnam

(Dan Tri) - Vietjet shares hit the ceiling, bringing billionaire Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao's assets close to the 3 billion USD mark, just behind Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong.

On July 22, the stock market was positive towards the end of the session. VN-Index successfully conquered the 1,500 point mark, even increasing strongly to 1,509.54 points. The market rebounded after yesterday's correction session with an increase of more than 24.4 points.

Vingroup stocks including VIC and VHM contributed greatly to the index's increase today. VIC (Vingroup) increased by 4.91% and VHM (Vinhomes) increased by 3.8%. VRE (Vincom Retail) also increased by 3.45%.

The assets of Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao - Chairwoman of Vietjet Air - also increased to 2.8 billion USD, second only to billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong, according to Forbes' update this afternoon.

Another stock in the aviation industry, HVN ( Vietnam Airlines ), also increased 4.75% in this session, to VND33,100/unit.

On the day VJC stock hit the ceiling, foreign investors net sold this code for more than 1,986 billion VND. In addition, SSI, SHB, PDR... were all on the list of net selling by foreign investors.
