Japanese Yen exchange rate in the world 11/22/2024

In the international market, the Japanese Yen increased in value against the USD. The Dollar Index (DXY), which tracks the strength of the USD against six other major currencies, reached 107.05 points, a 13-month high. However, the USD decreased by 0.56% against the Japanese Yen, currently trading at 154.56 JPY/USD.

Factors affecting the USD/JPY exchange rate include:

Ukraine-Russia tensions: Fears of escalating conflict have sent safe-haven currencies such as the Japanese Yen and Swiss Franc slightly higher.

Statement from Bank of Japan (BOJ) Governor Kazuo Ueda stressed that the BOJ will closely examine exchange rate movements while assessing the economic and inflation outlook.

Although the Japanese Yen has recorded a short-term upward trend, the market still faces many risks from geopolitical instability and global monetary policies.
