According to Hanoi University of Science and Technology, based on the score distribution and enrollment data of previous years, the unit predicts the admission scores for regular university training programs in 2025 for 65 training programs for all admission methods including: Talent Selection Method (XTTN), Admission method based on Thinking Assessment Test scores (ĐGTD) and Admission method based on high school graduation exam scores (THPT).
Benchmark forecast to decline slightly
Based on the score distribution and admission data of previous years, Hanoi University of Science and Technology predicts that the admission score based on the high school graduation exam score will range from 19 to 28 points. Last year, the admission score based on this method ranged from 21 to 28.53 points.
Specifically, the majors of Computer Engineering, Information Technology (Global ICT), Cyber Security (advanced program), Control Engineering - Automation, Microelectronics Engineering and Nanotechnology, Information Technology (Vietnam - Japan) are expected to have a benchmark score of between 26.5-28 points.
Computer Science , Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (advanced program) majors are expected to have a benchmark score of over 27.8 points.
Meanwhile, the majors of Business Administration (in cooperation with Troy University), Natural Resources and Environmental Management, and Chinese for Science, Engineering and Technology are expected to have a benchmark score of 19.
With the method of considering the thinking assessment test scores, the school predicts the standard score on a scale of 100, ranging from 46.48 to 73.07 points. According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , Hanoi University of Science and Technology will convert the scores to a common scale of 30.
Hanoi University of Science and Technology predicts admission scores for 65 training programs in 2025, specifically:

Along with the benchmark score forecast, Hanoi University of Science and Technology announced the quality assurance threshold (floor score) as follows:

According to Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the combinations used for admission to the technical majors include A00, A01, A02, B00, D07, D26, D28, D29 and K01 and will not have any score deviation.
The combinations used for admission to the economic, education, and foreign language groups including D01 and D04 also have no score deviation.
Hanoi University of Science and Technology announced the difference in scores between admission groups using high school graduation exam scores as follows:

According to the school, the difference in scores between the admission combinations for the technical majors (A00, A01, A02, B00, D07, D26, D28, D29 and K01) and the combinations used for admission to the economic, education and foreign language majors (D01 and D04) is +0.5 points to the standard score when considering the same training program for the combinations A00, A01, A02, B00, D07, D26, D28, D29 and K01.
For example, the FL3-Chinese for Science and Technology program is recruiting with 3 high school graduation score combinations: K01, D01 and D04.
If the admission score according to combination D01 is 20 points, the admission score according to combination D04 is still 20 points, and the admission score according to combination K01 is 20.5 points.
Converting benchmark scores between admission methods
Based on the general guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training, Hanoi University of Science and Technology applies the percentile method to find equivalent standard scores between the three university admission methods including: Talent selection method (XTTN), based on thinking assessment test scores (ĐGTD), based on high school graduation exam scores.
In addition, Hanoi University of Science and Technology conducts statistics and analyzes admission data of the past 3 years, different admission combinations, analyzes the distribution of talent admission scores by subject, the distribution of TSA exam scores, the distribution of high school graduation exam scores in 2025 with 2 original combinations A00 (Math-Physics-Chemistry) and D01 (Math-Literature-English) to serve as a basis for determining the correlation percentile range.
The percentile table of correlation between admission methods of Hanoi University of Science and Technology is determined through the percentile method on the data set of candidates with both TSA exam scores and high school exam scores according to combination A00; the data set of candidates with both TSA exam scores and high school exam scores according to combination D01; the top% of XTTN scores in area 1.2 and area 1.3 is calculated on the total number of candidates with scores according to the XTTN method from the floor score to the highest level; the top% of DGTD scores is calculated on the total number of candidates with TSA scores from the floor score to the highest level.
From the correlation table with specific percentile score range values, the conversion function between different admission methods will be interpolated. Accordingly, from the standard score x belonging to the percentile range [a, b) of this admission method, it will be interpolated to the standard score [c, d) corresponding to another admission method according to the following formula:

Equivalent benchmark conversion table for 2025 data
From the published score data of the methods, the correlation table of standard score levels between the 2025 admission methods of Hanoi University of Science and Technology is specifically determined according to the two original combinations A00 and D01 as follows:

For example, the benchmark score of the Microelectronics Engineering and Nanotechnology program of Hanoi University of Science and Technology using the high school graduation exam score according to the A00 combination is 27.68 points (x = 27.68).
Thus, this benchmark score will be in the 3rd percentile (about 3) in table 1, with high school score values from [27.55-28.46).
At that time, the equivalent benchmark for the DGTD exam score will belong to the corresponding percentile range (about 3) in table 1 with the DGTD score value from [69.88-76.23). From there, the corresponding conversion coefficients will be determined as follows: a = 27.55; b = 28.46; c = 69.88; d = 76.23.
Applying the interpolation formula to calculate the equivalent standard score for the GDTD exam score y from the high school standard score according to the combination A00 x = 27.68 will be calculated as follows:

From July 16 to 5:00 p.m. on July 28, candidates wishing to apply for university admission in 2025 must register for admission on the Ministry of Education and Training's General Virtual Filtering System at: https://thisinh.thitotnghiepthpt.edu.vn.

This year, Hanoi University of Science and Technology enrolls 9,680 students. Tuition fees for the 2025-2026 school year range from 28-90 million VND, an increase of 3-5 million VND compared to last year.
