If we could compare the menu to the music, we would find a song with two melodies, one lyric with two languages at Ngan Dinh Saigon restaurant, Long Trieu restaurant and Vietnam House restaurant located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City this September.

Long Trieu Restaurant with two special menus

Long Trieu is a 1 Michelin-starred restaurant serving authentic Cantonese cuisine at The Reverie Saigon Hotel. On the occasion of the restaurant officially receiving the prestigious 1 Michelin star in August 2024, Cantonese chef Wong Fu Keung launched two menus: "Bright Stars" and "Thousand Twinkling Stars" with the restaurant's signature dishes over the past decade.

Two menus of appetizers, main courses and desserts, representing the best of Cantonese cuisine

Diners will have a gentle start with the appetizer of sea jellyfish mixed with fragrant onions, opening up the fresh flavors of the ocean and the strong aroma of fresh onions. The brightest star on the menu must be the natural delicacies, meticulously created and processed to bring satisfaction to the taste buds and vision such as steamed grouper in unicorn style, three-headed abalone stewed with dried flower mushrooms, sea prawns stir-fried with vegetables with egg white sauce...

Finally, the prestigious culinary journey gradually comes to an end with the sweet and refreshing taste of typical Cantonese desserts such as fresh mango custard sticky rice rolls.

Along with the fresh mango and egg cream sticky rice rolls, the desserts here are also praised by gourmets, including the sweet orange dew and the sweet red bean cakes.

From the design to the menu, every detail is taken care of to bring the most complete experience. What makes the 1 Michelin star Long Trieu restaurant different is that every dish is made from Vietnamese ingredients combined with the skillful cooking techniques of Cantonese people.

Famous as a long-standing Chinese restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City, Ngan Dinh Saigon serves Cantonese cuisine in a cozy space decorated with prominent red and yellow tones.

This September, the restaurant's chef introduces a fresh seafood menu, available for lunch and dinner.

The menu includes two dishes: steamed grouper rolls with vegetables and spicy chili sauce and poached shrimp with bitter melon and ginkgo. Grouper is a popular dish in Chinese cuisine, often prepared in many ways such as fried, stir-fried or steamed. This Cantonese restaurant chooses the steaming method to retain the maximum natural sweetness and moisture of the fish.

The black grouper meat is low in fat and has a sweet taste, with a chewy texture combined with fresh tofu handmade at the restaurant and vegetables such as Vietnamese asparagus, Dalat carrots and dried cotton mushrooms to create an interesting experience for the dish. Seafood is inherently cold, so the chefs at the restaurant have delicately added the spicy flavor of chili sauce, helping to balance the yin and yang of the dish. Continuing that refreshing taste, the restaurant brings diners to the unforgettable rich flavor of shrimp poached with bitter melon and ginkgo. The freshness of fresh tiger prawns mixed with a little bitterness of bitter melon and the light sweetness of ginkgo creates a multi-layered experience.

Contemporary lunch menu at Vietnam House restaurant

Through the door with bold Indochinese architecture, more than a culinary journey, each dish carries a "soul" nurtured and surrounded by the rich culture and familiar lifestyle of the Vietnamese people.

The highlight of the menu is 2 main dishes made from fresh seafood: crispy fried grouper and prawn soup with green squash.

The rich aroma of coconut milk mixed with the sweetness of sugar and ripe bananas, combined with the fragrant taste of roasted peanuts, creates a sophisticated ending to a lunch.

As one of the Michelin Selected 2024 restaurants, Vietnam House Restaurant not only offers delicious meals, but also inspires and preserves the pure values of Vietnamese cuisine. The peaceful restaurant is located inside an old French villa at the corner of Dong Khoi and Mac Thi Buoi streets, offering diners a gentle yet interesting experience.
