Images from the video show the crater surrounded by rocks covered in thick layers of gray ash and debris of volcanic rock. In just seconds, a red mass begins to rise from below, pushing the surface of the ash-covered rock higher.
Then, a loud explosion rang out. Dust and rocks flew from the crater as lava began to erupt.

Huge plumes of gray ash rose from the volcano's crater, while Echa Thawil posed for a video in front of the eruption. Behind him, the scene was a sea of ash and dust.
The video, recorded by a friend who was traveling with him, was later shared by Echa Thawil on Instagram on January 31st and has garnered over 250,000 likes and 1,300 comments from viewers.
Many people were thrilled and expressed admiration for the bravery of the tourists as they stood close to the active volcano.

Meanwhile, some people warn that monitoring the volcano's activity level before the trip is extremely important.
"Safety should always come first, so make sure you're accompanied by an experienced local guide," wrote one travel experience sharing website.
At 1,335 meters high, Dukono is one of 127 active volcanoes in Indonesia – a country located on the "Ring of Fire," the region with the highest frequency of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions on the planet.
Dukono is also one of the most frequently erupting volcanoes in Indonesia. It is generally considered relatively safe for climbing. However, visitors should check the volcano's activity status before planning a visit.
According to Indopolitika, at around 9 am on February 12th, the volcano had a new eruption, creating a column of ash 1,100 meters high.
The Indonesian Center for Volcanic and Geological Disaster Monitoring and Prevention advises residents and tourists to stay away from the area within a 3km radius of the crater. Volcanic activity is still ongoing and ash may be dispersed depending on wind direction.
