What is the expected benchmark score for entering grade 10 in Dak Lak in 2024?

Talking to Dan Viet reporter, Ms. Dang Thuy Linh (in Tan Thanh ward, Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak), whose daughter is taking the entrance exam to grade 10 at Buon Ma Thuot High School, said that she and her family are very anxiously waiting for the announcement of the exam scores and the school's standard scores for grade 10.

Ms. Linh believes that the entrance exam for grade 10 of Dak Lak High School in the 2024-2025 school year, the subjects are almost suitable, creating conditions for students to do the test with their own ability level, especially the Literature subject is very interesting and also relevant. According to her, the standard score for grade 10 of Buon Ma Thuot High School this year may be equal to last year (34 points).

"I just predicted that, but only when I know my child's test scores and the school's benchmark scores will I feel less worried. These past few days, the whole family has been nervous and more worried than the children," Linh shared.

Previously, after finishing the Literature exam, the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year in Dak Lak province, many students and teachers evaluated the exam as good, within their ability, and especially relevant to current events. This helped students gain interest and emotions to demonstrate their abilities in writing.

According to teacher Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, a teacher at Tan Loi Secondary School, Buon Ma Thuot City, this year's exam questions closely followed the curriculum. Ms. Huong did not know what the expected benchmark score for grade 10 in Dak Lak in 2024 would be, but she speculated that the benchmark score would probably be slightly higher than last year.

"The structure of the exam is stable and has good differentiation. Of which, 70% of the questions are at the level of recognition and understanding, 30% of the questions are at the level of application and high application, the topics are close to the program but exploit new issues and are updated in practice. As for the benchmark score for grade 10, we have to wait for the official results from the Department of Education and Training," Ms. Huong shared.

Looking forward to the exam results announcement time

Talking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Hong Chuyen (Math teacher, Phan Chu Trinh Secondary School, Buon Ma Thuot City) said that this year's Math exam was good, the exam structure was similar to previous years, covering a wide range of knowledge about algebra, geometry and arithmetic.

With such structure and level of exam, it is entirely possible to select excellent students to study specialized Mathematics and the number of candidates with high scores will not be many. Mr. Chuyen commented that it is highly likely that the standard score for entering grade 10 this year in Dak Lak will be the same as last year.

"The knowledge in the exam is mainly in the 9th grade program, at the same time using a lot of content and advanced knowledge in the 6th - 8th grade programs to solve. Most of the problems are in the form of high application. Candidates must have good practice in the types of problems, have good thinking and reasoning to be able to solve all the problems in the exam," Mr. Chuyen shared.

Teacher Chuyen and his colleagues are also eagerly waiting for the announcement of the exam scores and admission scores for grade 10 of their students.

Ms. Thai Thi My Binh, Chief of Office of the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province, said that the Department plans to announce the 10th grade high school exam scores today (June 14).
