Expected names of new communes and wards of Hue after the arrangement

On April 18, the People's Committee of Hue City announced a project to reorganize grassroots administrative units, including many important contents related to the reorganization of commune-level administrative units.

According to the project, Hue City will rearrange 133 existing commune-level administrative units to reorganize into 40 commune-level administrative units.

The arrangement and reorganization of commune-level units also ensures criteria on history, tradition, culture, ethnicity, religion, beliefs; geographical location, geographical-natural conditions, sub-regional and regional connectivity; scale, level of economic development; national defense, security; traffic infrastructure, information technology...

According to the project, after the arrangement, the names of the new communes and wards will be easy to read, easy to remember, concise, ensure systematicity, science, be consistent with historical, traditional, and cultural factors of the locality, and be supported by local people.

Proposed names of some communes and wards

At the northern gateway, Phong Dien Town will arrange 12 communes and wards to establish 5 commune-level administrative units. Including merging 2 more communes Quang Cong and Quang Ngan (belonging to Quang Dien District).

Specifically, merge Phong Thu Ward and 2 communes Phong My and Phong Xuan to form a new ward, tentatively named Phong Dien Ward.

Merge Phong An Ward, Phong Hien Ward and Phong Son Commune into a new ward, tentatively named Phong Thai Ward.

Merge Phong Hoa Ward and 2 communes Phong Binh and Phong Chuong to form a new ward, expected to be named Phong Dinh Ward.

Merge Phong Phu Ward and Phong Thanh Commune to form a new ward, tentatively named Phong Phu Ward.

Merge Phong Hai Ward and 2 communes of Quang Cong and Quang Ngan (belonging to Quang Dien District) to form a new ward, tentatively named Phong Quang Ward.

Quang Dien District will reorganize 11 commune-level administrative units into 2 units. Of which, Quang Thanh Commune is expected to merge with Huong Phong Ward (Thuan Hoa District); move 2 communes Quang Cong and Quang Ngan to merge with Phong Hai Ward (Phong Dien Town).

The remaining communes of Quang Thai, Quang Loi, Quang Vinh, and Quang Phu will be merged to form a new commune, tentatively called Dan Dien. The remaining communes of Quang Phuoc, Quang An, Quang Tho, and TT.Sia will be merged to form a new commune, tentatively called Quang Dien.

In Huong Tra town area, 9 existing commune-level administrative units will be arranged into 3 units.

Specifically, the three wards of Tu Ha, Huong Van, and Huong Van will be merged into one new ward, tentatively named Huong Tra Ward.

Merge Huong Xuan Ward, Huong Chu Ward and Huong Toan Commune to form a new ward, tentatively named Kim Tra Ward.

Merge the communes of Huong Binh, Binh Tien, and Binh Thanh into a new commune, tentatively named Binh Dien commune.

Phu Xuan District area , arrange 12 wards to establish 3 new wards.

Specifically, merging 3 wards Long Ho, Huong Long, Kim Long to form 1 new ward, expected to be called Kim Long Ward.

Merge 3 wards Huong An, An Hoa, Huong So to form a new ward, tentatively named Huong An Ward.

Merge 6 wards including Gia Hoi, Phu Hau, Tay Loc, Thuan Loc, Thuan Hoa, Dong Ba to form a new ward, tentatively named Phu Xuan Ward.

Thuan Hoa District also arranges 19 existing wards and merges Huong Vinh Ward (belonging to Phu Xuan District), Quang Thanh Commune (Quang Dien District), Phu My Commune, Phu An Commune, Phu Thuan Commune, Phu Hai Commune (Phu Vang District) to form 8 units.

Specifically, merge Thuan An Ward and Phu Hai and Phu Thuan communes (Phu Vang District) to form a new ward, the expected name is Thuan An Ward.

Merge Huong Phong Ward (Thuan Hoa District), Huong Vinh Ward (Phu Xuan District) and Quang Thanh Commune (Quang Dien District) to form 1 ward, expected to be called Hoa Chau Ward.

Maintain the current status and name of Ward Duong No; merge Ward Phu Thuong, Commune Phu An, Commune Phu My (District Phu Vang) into a new ward, the proposed name is Ward My Thuong.

Merge 3 wards Vy Da, Thuy Van, Xuan Phu into a new ward, tentative name is Vy Da Ward.

Merge 6 wards including Phu Hoi, Phu Nhuan, Vinh Ninh, Phuong Duc, Phuoc Vinh, Truong An into 1 new ward, expected to be named Thuan Hoa Ward.

Merge 3 wards An Tay, An Cuu, An Dong into a new ward, tentatively named An Cuu Ward.

Merge Thuy Bieu Ward, Thuy Xuan Ward, Thuy Bang Ward into a new ward, tentative name is Thuy Xuan Ward.

Phu Vang District area is arranged from 10 commune-level administrative units into 3 communes.

Specifically, merge 4 communes Phu Dien, Vinh Xuan, Vinh An, Vinh Thanh into a new commune, tentatively named Phu Vinh commune.

Merge 3 communes Phu Xuan, Phu Luong, Phu Ho into a new commune with the tentative name of Phu Ho commune.

Merge Phu Da town, Phu Gia commune, Vinh Ha commune into a new commune with the proposed name of Phu Vang commune.

Huong Thuy Town will arrange 10 commune-level administrative units into 3 new commune-level administrative units.

Specifically, merge Thuy Thanh commune, Thuy Duong ward, Thuy Phuong ward into a new ward, the expected name is Thanh Thuy ward.

Merge Loc Son town, Loc Bon commune, Xuan Loc commune to form a new commune, tentative name is Loc Son commune.

Merge Loc An commune, Loc Hoa commune, Loc Dien commune into one commune, tentatively named Loc An commune.

Merge Phu Loc town and Loc Tri and Loc Binh communes into a new commune, the proposed name is Phu Loc commune.

Merge Lang Town and Loc Tien, Loc Vinh, Loc Thuy communes into a new commune, expected to be named Chan May - Lang Co commune.

Merge 4 communes Son Thuy, Hong Thuong, Phu Vinh, Hong Thai to form a new commune, tentative name is A Luoi 3 commune.

Merge 4 communes of Huong Phong, A Roang, Dong Son, Lam Dot into a new commune, tentative name is A Luoi 4 commune.
