According to the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, from April 25th to May 3rd, the total number of tourists visiting Da Nang is estimated at over 1.46 million, a 35% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Of this total, international tourists are estimated at over 621,000, a 24% increase. The number of overnight stays reached over 724,000, a 31% increase. Total revenue from tourism activities is estimated at over 5,727 billion VND, nearly 35% higher than the same period in 2025.
The average occupancy rate for accommodation across the city is approximately 75-80%. The 4-5 star hotel segment and equivalent achieves occupancy rates of 90-95%, demonstrating the strong appeal of the destination to high-spending travelers.
Regarding air travel, during the 9-day peak period (from April 25th to May 3rd), the total number of domestic and international flights to Da Nang is estimated at 1,460, an 11% increase compared to the same period in 2025, with an average frequency of approximately 162 flights per day.
On April 29th, the cruise ship Star Voyager docked at Tien Sa port, bringing approximately 1,500 tourists and over 1,000 crew members to visit the city. Tourists visited many prominent destinations such as Marble Mountains, Linh Ung Pagoda, the Cham Sculpture Museum, Hoi An, My Son, and Cam Thanh Coconut Forest.
Alongside welcoming tourists, the city places special emphasis on ensuring security, safety, and a safe tourism environment. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has coordinated with relevant units to implement numerous measures to improve service quality during the peak season. Tourist areas, attractions, and beaches are subject to increased inspections, and security forces are deployed to maintain order, environmental hygiene, and rescue operations.
The Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and tourist beaches has closely coordinated with local authorities to effectively serve the needs of locals and tourists for sightseeing and swimming. At the same time, tourism service businesses in the city strictly adhere to regulations on registration and price listing, ensuring that there is no price gouging or aggressive soliciting of customers, contributing to building an image of a civilized and friendly destination.
With the positive results achieved, Da Nang continues to affirm its position as one of Vietnam's leading tourist destinations during peak holiday seasons.
