Quang Ninh tourism aims to welcome 5.3 million visitors in the second quarter

Continuing that growth momentum, the tourism industry of Quang Ninh province aims to welcome 5.3 million visitors in the second quarter of 2025. Total tourism revenue is estimated at 14,720 billion VND. To realize that goal, Quang Ninh province will organize 50 programs and events, including 20 programs, events and activities to stimulate international, national and provincial tourism.

The highlight of the event programs is that during the April 30 - May 1 holiday, 11 typical events will take place such as: Ha Long Carnival 2025, Bach Dang Traditional Festival, Quang Ninh Ethnic Culture Festival 2025, National Excellent Archery Championship, Aqua Warriors HaLong Bay 2025, Quang Ninh OCOP Fair - Summer 2025, Beer and Squid Cake Festival, Motorized Kite and Paragliding Festival, Ha Long City Lion and Dragon Festival, Uong Bi Summer Welcome Program, Organizing Mong Cai tourism activities "Imprints at the Fatherland's Headland" in 2025.

Along with that, from March 29, Quang Ninh province officially opened tours to Bai Tu Long Bay - an important milestone in exploiting and developing sea and island tourism products.

The first Cherry Blossom Festival held in Ky Thuong highland (Ha Long city) attracted thousands of tourists.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province said that Bai Tu Long Bay is converging all the opportunities for tourism development such as a convenient transportation system by road, sea and air; a system of accommodation facilities with large resort complexes has been formed.

In addition, the landscape value of Bai Tu Long Bay is suitable for developing year-round tourism with many attractive types of tourism such as: sightseeing, swimming, boating, parasailing, recreational fishing, and various types of eco-tourism.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung hopes that localities and businesses will research and build tours to destinations on the baseline in the Gulf of Tonkin, first of all in Quang Ninh province, so that tourists have the opportunity to experience tourist destinations that not only have unique natural landscapes but also have special significance for national sovereignty.

In recent years, Quang Ninh province has not only focused on increasing the number of visitors but also on the quality of tourism. Along with the traditional products that have created the brand for Quang Ninh tourism, the province is currently focusing on innovating tourism products towards high quality, competitiveness, promoting the advantages of Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay to strongly exploit the luxury segment with high spending to increase tourism revenue.

In addition, the tourism industry will continue to strengthen and ensure a healthy tourism business environment; build and put into operation new tourism products; connect new cruise routes; promote tourism promotion; digitally transform the tourism industry.

The Silver Dawn ship carried nearly 500 international tourists from European and American countries to Ha Long International Passenger Port in early 2025.

With such well-planned and methodical strategies, Quang Ninh tourism industry hopes to achieve the second quarter target, thereby contributing to the 2025 plan to welcome 20 million tourists, including 4.5 million international visitors, with tourism revenue reaching 55 trillion VND./.
