Despite stopping selling Bphone, Bkav still launches a program to sell replacement components

On the official fanpage of Bphone (with a blue tick) on Facebook, the manufacturer recently posted information related to a special promotion program for users when purchasing or replacing components and accessories for this phone line.

Accordingly, the list of promotions mainly focuses on supporting the Bphone 86, 86s and Bphone 3, 3 Pro product lines along with AirB/AirB Pro headphones, all manufactured and sold by the company in Vietnam. Meanwhile, the A85 model, launched after 2 years, is not included in the list of eligible promotions.

Bkav said it will apply incentives for customers who come directly to the Bphone Store warranty center (currently has 2 addresses in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi ), order online on the website or via the Bphone fanpage. Replaceable components and accessories such as screen assemblies, glass panels, tempered glass, headphone batteries, Bphone phone batteries... are mostly reduced by at least 30% compared to the company's listed price. The highest reduction of 47% applies to the case product, while replacement components are reduced by the most 46% for Bphone 3 or Bphone 3 Pro screens.

The latest generation of Bphone was released in 2020, but there are still many components available to support users in replacing them when needed.

Tien Tran, a Facebook user who commented on Bphone's post, said that even though the company no longer releases new phones, it still provides technical support, which is an "admirable" move for this Vietnamese manufacturer. Bphone's fanpage has not had many updates recently, with the most recent posts all announcing promotional programs and only appearing on holidays and Tet.

The last time Bkav launched a smartphone was in 2022 with the Bphone A85 5G being the most notable model. But this product was quickly discovered by the community to be an ODM (original design manufacturer), meaning Bkav ordered a quantity from an existing manufacturer and then printed its own brand on the device.

Before A85, in 2020, Bkav introduced 4 Bphone models at the same time including B40, B60, B86 and B86s, ranging from 5.5 to 10 million VND. This price at the time of launch was in the mid-range segment and quite high compared to the general market level when compared to competitors with the same configuration, but has been repositioned in a more suitable segment than previous generations.

In addition to Bphone, Bkav also produces another notable technology device, the AirB and AirB Pro headphone lines, launched at the end of 2021. However, after more than 3 years, these devices seem to have stopped production as the company has shown no signs of preparing for the next generation, similar to Bphone.
