On October 13, the Southern Representative Office - Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs in coordination with the Department of Home Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City, the Department of Home Affairs of Nghe An province and the martyrs' relatives organized a ceremony to exhume and move the remains of martyr Nguyen Huu Trung from the Cu Chi Martyrs' Cemetery (An Nhon Tay commune, Ho Chi Minh City) to his hometown of Nghe An for burial.
Martyr Nguyen Huu Trung, born in 1956, from Thanh Hoa commune, Thanh Chuong district, Nghe Tinh province (now Nghe An province), fought in Company 2, Battalion 1, Regiment 174, Division 2, Corps 3.
During the Spring General Offensive and Uprising in 1975, he heroically sacrificed his life on April 29, at a very young age. After the country was reunified, his grave was buried at the Cu Chi Martyrs' Cemetery.

Nearly 50 years have passed, thanks to the connection of information between the authorities, especially the Southern Representative Office - Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs, the family has found the resting place of martyr Nguyen Huu Trung.

With the permission of the Department of Internal Affairs of 2 localities, the ceremony of exhumation and relocation of the remains of martyr Nguyen Huu Trung was held solemnly and respectfully, deeply demonstrating the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source". The entire work of moving the remains was supported by the Southern Representative Office - Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs, and brought back to his hometown by train.

Since the beginning of the year, the Southern Representative Office - Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs has organized 14 trips to support the collection and transportation of martyrs' remains from the South back to their hometowns in the Northern provinces for burial.
