Van Trang recounts being slapped 6 times while filming "The Haunted House"

On the afternoon of October 14, the film crew of The Haunted House met with the media, introducing many interesting stories surrounding the film's making process.

Attending the exchange were Ms. Vu Thi Bich Lien - representative of producer Mega GS, director Truong Dung, screenwriter La Nguyen Quoc Vinh and actors: artists Thanh Hang, Van Trang, Quang Tuan, Lam Thanh Nha, Lan Thy, Vuong Khang.

The exchange event with the film crew was heated up when the actors and singer Hoai Lam performed a special performance together. The male singer performed the song Ma Thuong Con Hoai , one of the songs used as the film's soundtrack, with a special, soulful performance by artist Thanh Hang. In addition, Hoai Lam also sang a cappella from another film's soundtrack.

At the meeting, actress Van Trang received the most questions and attention. In the film, she plays Quynh - the "rude" daughter-in-law, the wife of Quan (played by Huynh Dong). This is a role with a completely different personality from Van Trang in real life, especially the director required her to "swear very smoothly".

The actress said that she had successfully collaborated with director Truong Dung in the films: Long River, Memory Stream, A Time We Chased Shadows … so when she was invited, she immediately agreed without reading the script. She was also assured by the director that “this role is very good and very suitable”.

However, when she read the script, she was shocked because she didn't know why the director let her play a character who cursed so much.

At the event, when requested, Van Trang reenacted a scene of arguing with Lam Thanh Nha's character. With their ability to improvise, play the role flexibly and juggle well, the guests and audience were extremely delighted.

Also related to the role, Van Trang shared a memorable memory with her co-star - artist Thanh Hang, who played her mother-in-law in the film. In the film, there was a scene where she was slapped by her mother-in-law.

To create emotion and authenticity for the film, she let artist Thanh Hang slap her for real, not just once but six times. The actress said that after that slap, she was "dazed", but when she watched the film again, she found it very true to the character's emotions and situation at that time.
