On October 15, information from the Vietnam Poultry Association (VPA) said that, in the face of heavy damage caused by storms No. 10 and 11 and prolonged heavy rains in many northern provinces, the association has just issued a dispatch calling on all members, businesses and individuals in the poultry farming sector to join hands to support people and farming households affected in flood-affected areas.

According to VPA, floods in Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Lang Son, Cao Bang and Hanoi have caused great damage to property, barns and livestock. Tens of thousands of cattle and hundreds of thousands of poultry have been swept away, causing many households and businesses to face great difficulties.
According to VPA, the urgent needs now are supplies, breeding animals, disinfectants, materials for repairing barns and animal feed. The association calls on businesses, especially members, to participate by providing direct support or making contributions through the association office to ensure reasonable and appropriate allocation. At the same time, affected businesses need to send specific reports on damages for the association to synthesize and recommend to the authorities to consider support options.
