In the last 3 months of the year, Duc Tho district ( Ha Tinh ) continued to focus on implementing the resolutions of party congresses at all levels; continued to speed up progress, complete and maintain targets and criteria for building new rural areas and civilized urban areas.

On the afternoon of October 4, Duc Tho District Party Committee held a conference to review the first 9 months of 2023 and deploy tasks for the last 3 months of the year.

Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department Nguyen Dinh Hai and Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Nguyen Xuan Hai attended the conference.

In the first 9 months of 2023, Duc Tho district continued to achieve many remarkable results in implementing goals and tasks in Party building, political system and socio-economic development.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee Dang Giang Trung reported on the preliminary summary of Party building work, socio-economic development in the first 9 months of 2023, and deployed year-end tasks.

The Duc Tho District Party Committee has focused on directing the management and development of Party members, improving the quality of Party cell activities. Up to now, the district has admitted 128 new Party members (98.4% of the plan), an increase of 126% over the same period; awarded 588 Party badges. Regarding inspection and supervision, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee together with Party committees at all levels have inspected 44 Party organizations (TCĐ), 48 Party members (ĐV); supervised 36 TCĐ, 38 ĐV; disciplined 1 TCĐ, 42 ĐV.

Regarding the implementation of the State plan, 19/24 targets were achieved and exceeded the set plan. Total social development investment capital reached 926 billion VND, reaching 56.1% of the plan. Total budget revenue in the area reached 119,298 billion VND, reaching 43.4% of the plan assigned by the province.

The task of building new rural areas and civilized urban areas has been focused on and implemented drastically and synchronously. The district has issued policies and plans to implement the Project "Building Duc Tho district to meet advanced new rural standards in the period of 2021-2025"; up to now, the whole district has 15/15 communes meeting new rural standards, 8 communes meeting advanced new rural standards, of which 4 communes have met model new rural standards. There are 14 more model new rural residential areas, up to now, there are 119/142 villages meeting model new rural standards; 6/7 OCOP products have met 3-star standards; 13/13 residential groups in Duc Tho town basically meet 12-14 criteria (out of a total of 16 criteria) of civilized urban areas.

In the last 3 months of 2023, the district will continue to promote propaganda work and organize the implementation of resolutions of party congresses at all levels; focus on directing the creation of new party member development sources to ensure the set plan, improve the quality of party cell activities; establish a Steering Committee for merging commune-level administrative units for the period 2023 - 2025; issue a plan to organize activities to celebrate the 120th birthday of General Secretary Tran Phu...

Regarding the implementation of socio-economic development tasks, continue to accelerate progress, complete and maintain indicators and criteria for building new rural areas, building towns that meet urban civilized standards; complete the Project on agricultural and rural economic development associated with advanced new rural communes and model new rural communes for the period 2021 - 2025, with a vision to 2030...

District Party Secretary Nguyen Thanh Dong: Localities continue to focus on the district's key tasks to complete the targets according to the district's planning framework: promoting administrative reform, tightening discipline and order; effectively implementing tasks and solutions to restore production and business, and develop the economy and society.

Speaking at the conference, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee Nguyen Dinh Hai suggested that the Standing Committee of Duc Tho District Party Committee should promote democracy among all cadres and people; strive to satisfy the people, create motivation to develop movements, targets and plans.

Regarding Party building work at the grassroots level, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee suggested that Duc Tho district needs to have an appropriate mechanism to encourage the core leaders of grassroots Party cells with leadership qualities, and gather Party members to contribute to the development of the collective and Party cells.
