On November 15, the leader of the People's Committee of Binh Tien commune (Huong Tra town, Thua Thien Hue ) confirmed that the police force had just rescued a couple trapped in a house buried by rocks and soil due to a landslide.

Initial information, at around 11am on November 15, prolonged heavy rain caused a large amount of rock and soil behind the house to collapse, flooding into the house of Mr. T.D.M. (51 years old, residing in Dong Hoa village, Binh Tien commune).
At the time of the incident, Mr. M. and his wife were in the house and could not escape in time. They were trapped and buried in mud.

Upon receiving the news, authorities and local people quickly arrived at the scene to rescue the victims.
By 12 noon the same day, the authorities had successfully rescued and taken Mr. M and his wife to the hospital for emergency treatment.
The leader of the People's Committee of Binh Tien commune said that the locality mobilized more than 40 people, including the commune and village forces and local people to urgently rescue the victims. The forces also had to break a part of the area to get the victims out.
