Due to the impact of Typhoon No. 3 (Super Typhoon Yagi), the Yen Bai province area experienced heavy rain, and the Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company suspended the operation of two pairs of passenger trains from Hanoi to Lao Cai.

The railway line running through Yen Bai province was deeply submerged in rising floodwaters.
Specifically, passenger trains SP3 and SP4 on the Hanoi – Lao Cai route will be suspended on September 9th. The plan to resume service will depend on weather conditions.
Due to the influence of the circulation of typhoon No. 3, it is forecast that from the night of September 8th to September 11th, the Yen Bai area will continue to experience moderate to heavy rain, with some areas experiencing very heavy rain, with total rainfall generally ranging from 150-300mm, and some points exceeding 400mm.
Currently, the Thao River is rising rapidly, causing severe flooding on several roads in Yen Bai city and disrupting traffic.
