The railway running through Yen Bai province was deeply submerged in rising floodwaters.

Specifically, passenger trains SP3 and SP4 on the Hanoi – Lao Cai route will stop running on September 9. The plan to resume the route will depend on the weather conditions.

Due to the influence of storm No. 3, it is forecasted that from the night of September 8 to September 11, in Yen Bai area, there will continue to be moderate rain, heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain with total rainfall ranging from 150-300mm, with some places over 400mm.

Currently, the Thao River is rising rapidly, causing some roads in Yen Bai city to be deeply flooded and traffic to be cut off.
