On the afternoon of April 8th, Mr. Le Thanh Ut, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ben Luc district, Long An province, stated that the project to upgrade and renovate provincial road 830C is being implemented by the Department of Transport.
The People's Committee of Ben Luc District is responsible for land clearance. Last week, the local authorities held a meeting with residents to announce the investment plan, and 100% of the affected households expressed strong agreement.
The project has a total length of over 9km, passing through the communes of Thanh Phu, Tan Buu, My Yen and Ben Luc town, with a total cost of 971 billion VND, of which land clearance costs are approximately 220 billion VND.
Provincial Road 830C, connecting Ho Chi Minh City and National Highway 1, will be upgraded and renovated in 2024.
The project affects 770 households and 11 organizations, with a total land area of nearly 9 hectares to be acquired. The starting point is in Ben Luc town, and the end point connects to Ho Chi Minh City.
According to the Long An Department of Transport, the project to upgrade and renovate Provincial Road 830C in Ben Luc District has a scale of 6 lanes, including 4 lanes for cars and 2 lanes for non-motorized vehicles, with a central median, sidewalks on both sides, and a synchronized technical infrastructure system. The land clearance area is 30m, measured from the center of the road outwards 15m on each side, with urban road standards.
Upon completion, it will connect to Ho Chi Minh City, National Highway 1, and the transportation system within the district and region, significantly increasing land values in the area. This will also contribute to the gradual synchronization of the province's transportation infrastructure, serving socio -economic development in the province and the region.
According to the Department of Transport, the project is expected to start in December 2024, and this week the Ben Luc District People's Committee is conducting surveys at affected households.
