According to the Hai Duong Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board, as of May 14th, the North-South arterial road in Thanh Mien district has basically completed 5 out of 6.06 km of the lower asphalt concrete surface layer. The remaining sections are under construction with large box culverts and soil stabilization work. The estimated completion rate is approximately 65%. The project is expected to be completed and opened to traffic in December 2024.

Currently, the land clearance work for the project still involves compensating ATAD Steel Structure Joint Stock Company in Binh Giang district and four households in Hong Quang commune (Thanh Mien district) whose residential land is subject to expropriation within the area of the intersection with provincial road 393.
The North-South arterial road in Thanh Mien district is 6.06 km long. Its starting point intersects with Road 392 (at km 10+370), located in Nhan Quyen commune (Binh Giang district), and its end point is at km 6+60.45, connecting with the East-West arterial road (approximately km 4+500) located in Lam Son commune (Thanh Mien district).

Phase 1 of the project involves a Class III road in a flat area with a roadbed width of 12 m, a road surface width of 11 m, and a design speed of 80 km/h; the total investment is 397.81 billion VND.
This project helps Thanh Mien district connect with the Hanoi-Hai Phong expressway and the East-West axis of the province, forming a main axis linking the districts of Binh Giang, Thanh Mien, Ninh Giang, and Tu Ky, and strengthening transportation connections between Hai Duong and Hung Yen provinces, contributing to promoting socio -economic development of Thanh Mien district and the southern region of Hai Duong province.
