Nguyen Hai Ninh is a well-known face in the F&B startup world, when he founded the famous coffee chain The Coffee House, or previously Urban Station. He and his colleagues built The Coffee House from scratch to become the second largest coffee chain in the market at one point (after Highlands Coffee). However, in February 2021, Nguyen Hai Ninh announced that he would say goodbye to his brainchild, ending 6 years of association with The Coffee House.

After that, Nguyen Hai Ninh started new journeys. He joined the board of directors of Pasteur Street Brewing, a craft beer company founded by an American. Not only that, Nguyen Hai Ninh founded M Village - a serviced apartment chain model in the mid-range segment in Ho Chi Minh City. Although not much advertised, M Village currently has 22 branches, leading in size in the mid-range segment, managing nearly 500 rooms in Ho Chi Minh City.

Although he started his career with other business models, Nguyen Hai Ninh's relationship with coffee seems to be unending. Recently, the former CEO of The Coffee House often shares about a coffee chain called Every Half Coffee Roaster.

Every Half store is located in a prime location in Ho Chi Minh City.

On media channels, Every Half was introduced as co-founded by Tran Le Minh Truc. Born in the coffee capital of Buon Ma Thuot ( Dak Lak ), Tran Le Minh Truc majored in accounting but later decided to pursue a career in the coffee industry. He is a well-known name in the industry, with more than 10 years of experience in making, purchasing, and evaluating coffee quality at major coffee shops in Ho Chi Minh City.

Co-founder Tran Le Minh Truc shared in a recent interview that currently Every Half collects most of its coffee from countries around the world. By focusing on cooperating with small farms that need an outlet, the chain provides technical support and purchases associated products, increasing the input coffee output for Every Half as well as increasing the quality, technology and income for farmers.

Truc told Thanh Nien newspaper: "The goal is that Vietnamese products that are jointly produced will account for 40-50% of the output used by Every Half in the coming years, and aim to export quality Vietnamese coffee products to the world market."

Tran Le Minh Truc - co-founder of Every Half

Many connections can be found between Every Half, Tran Le Minh Truc and Nguyen Hai Ninh.

According to research, Tran Le Minh Truc used to work at Urban Station and The Coffee House - both coffee brands founded by Nguyen Hai Ninh. At The Coffee House, Tran Le Minh Truc was introduced as a coffee roaster.

Every Half Coffee Roaster's first store opened in June 2021, located in Nguyen Hai Ninh's M Village. The brand has now expanded to 3 locations, while maintaining its location within the M Village model. Every Half Coffee Roaster's stores all have a minimalist yet impressive design.

Registration information of Every Half Bean Joint Stock Company shows that the company was established on February 22, 2021, headquartered at 232/15 Vo Thi Sau (District 3, Ho Chi Minh City), with Mr. Vo Duy Phu as the legal representative. In addition, the director's name is Nguyen Hai Ninh .

It is worth mentioning that Vo Duy Phu is also a name “close” to Nguyen Hai Ninh, co-founder of The Coffee House and also left after 6 years. This raises suspicions that the former CEO of The Coffee House and his close associates are returning to the coffee journey with a new brand.
