This year I am 76 years old with 35 years of working at BIDV and 20 years of retirement still living in the BIDV retirement family. So 55 years attached to each of these houses... Perhaps that is why every April, we retired cadres are filled with nostalgia and emotions that we want to share.
First, what is a traditional anniversary?
Our generation is so strange! From graduation to retirement and beyond, we are still attached to one job, one career, one common home... We may have lost many opportunities to change and experience many environments, but in return, we have experienced all the ranges of emotions: surprise, joy, sadness, anxiety, failure, success, ups and downs, challenges... throughout BIDV's development journey of more than half a century.
Therefore, celebrating BIDV's Traditional Day for us is not just to recall old memories, about a difficult time "Remembering the sweet and the bitter / Remembering the stream when going to the river, remembering the night when having a day..." but to be happy, proud, witnessing the achievements that BIDV has achieved, existing, brilliant and the inherent values being promoted and nurtured. At the 66-year milestone, BIDV in our hearts has taken on a new stature, new image, new brand, new class, new position... Affirming its position in the social community, the banking community in the country and the world and knowing the steady steps towards the future according to the near-term plan and the long-term vision like a dream... We are proud of our dreams that have now come true.
Even more proud, this achievement is due to generations of talented and dedicated BIDV cadres. From generations of cadres in the subsidy period, they have become a generation of modern businessmen with all the qualities: bold, dynamic, creative, brave, courageous, not afraid of difficulties, daring to innovate, accepting failures, overcoming challenges, shouldering responsibility for BIDV's history, writing new, brilliant pages of history...

There is a very beautiful love poem "You are becoming more beautiful in my eyes". Love makes each person perfect themselves and each other to be more beautiful and better in each other's eyes. Therefore, we also think that it is the deep love for BIDV that makes each BIDV staff strive more and more to perfect themselves in both business and culture, both thinking and action to be more worthy of BIDV. Do everything to perfect BIDV as an existing entity, so that BIDV is better and more beautiful in the hearts of friends and in the community. And we, the retired staff, just look, feel, truly proud, admire BIDV, the children of BIDV, on the journey to conquer victory, to feel that "You are becoming more and more beautiful in our eyes. BIDV is becoming more and more beautiful in our hearts". Thank you all and for everything.

Third, new power, new opportunities
At the 66th anniversary, we would like to share a special feeling about BIDV's new source of strength.
It is known that from now on, BIDV Party Committee is the Party Committee of the entire system, including the Headquarter Party Committee and more than 200 Party Committees and grassroots Party cells of member units with 28,000 cadres, of which more than 11,000 are core Party members.
The emotions are overwhelming and wonderful. So from now on, BIDV has become a comprehensive, true entity, including business activities, the Trade Union, the Youth Union and the Party. A unified entity: Unified organization; Unified politics and ideology; Unified staff; Unified will; Unified action. That unity is placed in an open, friendly, democratic, dynamic and creative environment and thus, the inherent strength of the entire system will resonate and multiply many times over.
Just imagine, 28,000 cadres and party members closely connected in a unified entity will create a miraculous power, a powerful energy like a volcano, like a tsunami, creating miraculous results in the development journey.
Each BIDV officer is a competitive advantage, each officer is a brand ambassador. So 28,000 officers and party members combined will not only be 28,000 ambassadors and advantages...
In English, there are 3 factors that make up each person's success: Head (head, intelligence, thinking...), Heart (heart, desire, love, enthusiasm) and Hand (arm, action, leadership, work...). We think that BIDV staff have all 3 of those factors and more. They have bright minds, bold ideas, sharp thinking, foresight, understanding of the times, mastering their luck, knowing how to seize opportunities and act at the right time. They have hearts with burning aspirations, passionate love for their profession, and passionate love for BIDV. They express their love through actions, dedication, and dedication to building a lasting and developing BIDV. So, when 28,000 staff and party members join forces, unite, and combine their efforts, they will maximize the capacity of each person, and the internal strength of the entire system.
At the 66-year milestone, BIDV is also facing many difficult challenges of the global economy and the country, with energy crisis, food crisis, financial crisis, climate change, local war, supply chain disruption... But the BIDV system with BIDV Party Committee as the core leader with new strength, we are more confident that BIDV will overcome challenges to win, especially to win over itself, overcome a little tiredness, a little soft-heartedness, a little overload, a little stumble to achieve brilliant results.
I wish the BIDV Party system to firmly lead and promote the strength of 28,000 cadres and party members, and achieve many achievements on the journey of development and integration.
The Party Committee is the experienced and brave helmsman, and all 28,000 cadres are the strong rowers to steer the BIDV ship straight out to sea.
