Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) has recognized this strategic importance early on, identifying digital transformation (DCT) and application of science and technology (S&T) as one of the key breakthroughs, creating a new era for Vietnam's electricity industry.
The Political Report of the EVN Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term, presented to the 4th Congress for the 2025-2030 term, emphasized the motto "Innovation, acceleration, breakthrough, bringing the group to comprehensive development in the new era", clearly demonstrating the political determination in leading the group on this path.

Promote the application of information technology and perfect the database
EVN has been promoting the application of information technology (IT) in all areas of operation, especially in customer service. The Party Committee has resolutely directed the completion of the customer database, considering this the core foundation for better, more professional and more effective service.
The digitalization of the electricity service provision process, from new registration, information changes, to troubleshooting, is all done through digital platforms. The goal is to help customers easily access electricity services anytime, anywhere, minimizing cumbersome administrative procedures. Increasing the rate of direct electricity retail through digital channels is also a focus of activities, aiming to shorten the distance between EVN and customers, increasing transparency and convenience.
The Group has proactively implemented an effective and sustainable power supply plan, not only ensuring economic benefits but also improving service quality for customers. This means that IT application does not stop at information management but also goes into data analysis to forecast demand, optimize power distribution, minimize incidents and improve system reliability. This is proof that digital transformation at EVN is not just a trend but has become a concrete action, bringing practical results.
Cashless payment and national public service connection
One of the highlights in EVN's digital transformation is the promotion of advanced and modern forms of electricity payment. The Group has implemented non-cash electricity bill collection through banks, e-wallets, mobile applications, etc., helping customers pay for electricity services anytime, anywhere, quickly, safely and conveniently.
In addition, connecting to national database platforms via the National Public Service Portal to reduce paperwork and digitize the process of providing electricity services to customers also demonstrates EVN's commitment to reforming administrative procedures, bringing maximum convenience to people and businesses. When customers can look up information, submit documents and track progress online, the burden of paperwork and time will be significantly reduced, creating a more transparent and efficient business environment.

Build customer experience journeys and optimize management
To truly become a "Digital Power Corporation", EVN is constantly building a customer experience journey, establishing criteria and tools to evaluate the quality of customer experience in a scientific and quantitative manner. This is a change in thinking from "power supply" to "service provision", focusing on customers. All digital transformation activities and science and technology applications are aimed at the ultimate goal of bringing the highest satisfaction to electricity users.
In addition, in internal management, EVN also requires member units to strongly apply science and technology to power grid management and operation, asset management, production and business process optimization, loss reduction and operational efficiency improvement. Technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, Internet of Things (IoT) are gradually being researched and applied, promising to create breakthroughs in power system management and operation.
The 4th Congress of the Group's Party Committee, term 2025-2030, will be an important milestone, guiding the Group to successfully complete its set goals and tasks: building a clean and strong Party Committee; innovating, accelerating, making breakthroughs, bringing the Group to comprehensive development in the new era, firmly on the journey to create a modern, smart, sustainable electricity system, contributing significantly to the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country.
