It’s been a long wait for the horror film Five Nights at Freddy’s , directed by Emma Tammi, to release a teaser showing the first live-action images. This is the next film this year adapted from a video game, but it is a supernatural horror film and not as adventurous and mischievous as The Super Mario Bros. Movie .
Freddy Fazbear's Pizza turns into a nightmare after past events
Universal's Five Nights at Freddy's teaser is 48 seconds long, and opens with a TV showing children playing in the once-popular Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, where animatronics including Fazbear, Bonnie the Bunny, Chica the Chicken, and Foxy the Pirate Fox are used to entertain the children.
Freddy Fazbear's Pizza's glory days were over. The place was abandoned for a long time. No one remembered the existence of the animatronics anymore.
The teaser cuts to the present day, where a new security guard, Mike Schmidt, played by actor Josh Hutcherson (best known for his work in Lionsgate's Hunger Games franchise), is hired to watch over Five Nights at Freddy's overnight. As the night wears on, however, Mike notices something unusual about the abandoned amusement park. The animatronics, which have been left unused for a long time, suddenly start acting strangely.
Actor Josh Hutcherson plays Mike Schmidt in the film
The Five Nights at Freddy's movie follows the plot of the video game. For gamers, the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise is an attractive series of games, with many plot details hidden by the game developer, but the more you play, the more engaging it becomes. This franchise was first released in 2014, and then became increasingly popular in the gaming community. After 2014, the game was developed into many more parts that later became the main game series; besides this series, the developers have made more spin-off games, not to mention the fan-created games called Fazbear Fanverse.

Blumhouse head Jason Blum said Five Nights at Freddy's was a natural fit for the horror studio (the project was originally owned by Warner Bros. but later dropped, and Blumhouse and Striker Entertainment joined forces to produce the film). "Our team has been dedicated to bringing Scott Cawthon's world to the screen. Rest assured, the project is worth the wait," he said. Five Nights at Freddy's is scheduled to hit theaters on October 27 this year.
