This is one of the main activities of VTV to implement the government's Project "Vietnamese Language Honor Day in the Overseas Vietnamese Community for the period 2023 - 2030" and the 2025 action plan.

The Gala is a clear demonstration of the success of the vocal classes that People's Artist Duc Long has founded and taught for the past 15 years across Germany; helping to connect and unite Vietnamese souls living abroad.

Nearly 60 songs were chosen by People's Artist Duc Long and students to learn and perform in the Gala, expressing nostalgia and passionate love for the country such as: "My homeland Vietnam", "Dreaming of my homeland", "My mother", " Hanoi and you", "Night stars"... and many songs about the sea such as "Dry sea", "Sea, nostalgia and you", "Finding your name on the sandbank"...

Speaking at the opening of the Gala, representative of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Pham Minh Dan - Head of the Rostock vocal class, said that the students and People's Artist Duc Long had been practicing diligently for the past 3 weeks and the rehearsal the day before had lasted past 12 midnight.

To do so is not easy at all for the majority of people who work in service jobs such as selling goods, doing nails, hairdressing... but they have overcome all difficulties to be able to indulge their passion for music and love of the Vietnamese language.

From many cities across Germany, 200 to 800 kilometers from Rostock, leaving behind the worries of a difficult life, students and their families traveled long distances, sometimes traveling overnight, to gather with their fellow countrymen and immerse themselves in the profound melodies of Vietnamese music and soulful lyrics. Music and the Vietnamese language have given spiritual strength to the Vietnamese people who still work hard every day to earn a living, and more than that, have united them, loved each other; and expressed their love for their homeland in their own emotional way.

Speaking to a reporter from the Voice of Vietnam, People's Artist Duc Long expressed his joy when his simple wish to bring music to connect the souls of Vietnamese people living abroad in the Federal Republic of Germany, after 15 years of perseverance, has achieved truly impressive results, teaching vocal music to more than 7,000 Vietnamese people, in which the youngest student is 8 years old and the oldest is 78 years old. In many cases, a student goes to school and then convinces his whole family, wife, husband, and children to join.

In many Vietnamese families in Germany, when grandmothers and mothers sing, the second and third generations of children learn Vietnamese through lyrics imbued with love, more effectively than traditional teaching methods.

Representing the city with a large number of students attending the Gala, Ms. Nguyen Kim Dung, head of the vocal class in Magdeburg city, shared that after attending the class for many years, she often sings at home, all family members listen to Vietnamese melodies every day and her children are all good at Vietnamese and love Vietnamese music.

Music in general, and People's Artist Duc Long's vocal classes in particular, have contributed to creating a united and closely-knit Vietnamese community in major cities across Germany, contributing to enhancing the prestige and position of Vietnamese people in the host country.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Long, Chairman of Dien Hong Association - Association of foreigners in Meckenburg Vorpommern state, shared that the musical performances with the participation of a large number of Vietnamese people - including many members of People's Artist Duc Long's vocal classes - for many years, have created a special impression at major events of foreigners in Germany; demonstrating the rich culture of Vietnam and especially the solidarity and attachment of the Vietnamese people.
