Redefining the premium foldable phone experience

With an ultra-slim and lightweight design and a larger secondary display, the Galaxy Z Fold7 delivers a seamless on-the-go experience, making it easy to use when folded.

The device is just 9mm thick when folded and 4.2mm when unfolded. At the same time, at just 215 grams, the Galaxy Z Fold7 is even lighter than the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

The 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X main display delivers high contrast, true blacks, and brilliant detail. The main display has also been reengineered to be thinner and lighter – yet stronger. This is achieved by using Titan layer technology and a 50% thicker Ultra Thin Glass (UTG).

One of the worthy upgrades of the Z Fold7 is the first 200MP wide-angle camera on the Galaxy Z series. Thanks to that, the device is capable of capturing images with 4 times more detail, with 44% higher brightness.

The Armor FlexHinge is thinner and lighter thanks to an improved teardrop design and a new multi-rail structure that reduces visible creases and enhances durability by distributing pressure evenly across the display surface. However, the crease is still more visible than on the Z Flip series.

Galaxy Z Fold7 launches with One UI 8 on Android 16, integrating Samsung's latest AI platform on foldable devices, bringing a new and improved Android experience to users.

With the Z Flip7 clamshell foldable phone line, the model impresses with its edge-to-edge FlexWindow display. This is a 4.1-inch Super AMOLED FlexWindow display - the largest external display ever equipped on the Galaxy Z Flip line.

Weighing just 188 grams and measuring 13.7 mm thick when folded, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is also the thinnest Galaxy Z Flip ever.

Samsung Vietnam said that the Galaxy Z Fold7 has 2 versions with the same price of 46.99 million VND (256 GB) and 50.99 million VND (512 GB), the 16 GB + 1 TB memory version is limited to 200 units with the same price of 68.888 million VND. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip7 has a selling price of 28.99 and 32.99 million VND for the 256 and 512 GB memory versions.

Foldable phones still have appeal?

The Galaxy ZFold 7 model continues to be of top interest to users. Speaking to VTC News, Ms. Phan Ai Chau, Head of Marketing at SamCenter System, said that out of 10,000 people who registered to receive information, 80% were interested in the Z Fold7 because of expectations for a generation of foldable phones that are significantly thinner and lighter. With such positive signs, the system expects sales to increase by 30% compared to last year.

Chung commented, Mr. Nguyen Minh Khue, representative of Viettel Store system, said that this year's Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 have had a complete "transformation" in both appearance, performance and AI features, pre-order output may also increase by 30% compared to the previous generation.

According to Counterpoint Research 's report on the global foldable phone market, sales in 2024 will only grow slightly, reaching 2.9% compared to the same period last year. This year, sales are forecast to decrease by about 4%, although "big guy" Samsung may recover.

However, experts say this is not the time when the market peaks but is preparing for the entry of Apple and a series of new folding phone models in the future.

Counterpoint Research ’s latest report on foldable and rollable display shipments and technology also forecasts double-digit growth in panel orders through 2026. “The supply chain shows that foldable phone orders are gradually filling up,” said research director Calvin Lee.
