In January, cherry blossoms bloom; in February, plum blossoms bloom… the spring flowers of Moc Chau bloom in abundance, attracting a large number of tourists to come and enjoy the spring scenery and take photos.

In particular, this year's plum blossom season is considered the most beautiful in the last 10 years, with dense, pure white blossoms covering the valleys of Moc Chau.

Since the Lunar New Year, the number of visitors to Moc Chau has increased dramatically.

Ms. Dinh Thi Huong, head of the Culture and Information Department of Moc Chau district, said that during the Lunar New Year holiday alone, the number of visitors to Moc Chau doubled compared to last year.

From January 25th to February 28th, Moc Chau is estimated to have welcomed 930,000 visitors to check in during the plum blossom season. On weekdays, the number of visitors reached over 10,000 per day, and this number doubled on weekends.

According to Tuoi Tre Online , Moc Chau has approximately 300 accommodation establishments. All of them are operating at full capacity, but this is still insufficient to meet the surge in tourist demand.

Many local residents in Moc Chau with spare rooms have been encouraged to open their doors to guests, as many tourists have arrived in Moc Chau but cannot find accommodation.

Besides the plum orchards yielding abundant harvests thanks to the large number of visitors, related services such as photography and equipment rentals are also raking in money. According to photographers in Moc Chau, during peak season they cannot accept bookings for full days; most shoots are done by the hour in the orchards at a cost of about 500,000 VND per person per hour.

According to Bui Van Hiep (also known as "Wild Horse"), there are about 30 photographers in Moc Chau, and his group has three members. Hiep earns approximately 10 million VND per day from taking photos of tourists checking in with plum blossoms.

In addition, services such as renting props for photoshoots and providing makeup for customers taking photos with plum blossoms also generate good revenue.

Moc Chau tourism is expected to earn over 1.2 trillion VND thanks to a surge in tourists coming to check in and take photos with the plum blossoms.

After the plum blossom season ends, Moc Chau enters the season of peach blossoms, pear blossoms, bauhinia flowers, and hawthorn blossoms… promising to continue being a "hot" destination in the North during spring.
