Nearly 20,000 people in Son La participate in the activity "Moving forward with Vietnam"

At Tay Bac Square, To Hieu Ward, Son La Province, the program attracted more than 4,000 people of all ages and forces to participate in the walk.

The walking activity "Moving Forward with Vietnam" is an idea organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security and takes place simultaneously in 34 provinces and cities across the country.

This event is to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2, Traditional Day of the Vietnam People's Public Security (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).

From early morning, thousands of people gathered at Northwest Square.

In Son La, the program was organized simultaneously from the provincial level to communes and wards, attracting nearly 20,000 cadres, party members, police officers, youth union members, students and a large number of people in the province to participate.

At the Son La provincial bridge, there were comrade Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, along with leaders of departments, branches, unions, enterprises, police officers and soldiers and people of Son La city.

At the beginning of the program, delegates relayed activities at Ba Dinh Square, Hanoi, performed the flag-raising ceremony, sang the National Anthem according to the National Flag Raising Ceremony schedule, creating a solemn and sacred atmosphere, expressing national pride.

In addition to the two communes that are heavily affected by natural disasters, 73 communes and wards of Son La province simultaneously responded to the program "Moving Forward with Vietnam".

Comrade Nguyen Dinh Viet, Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province, highly appreciated the coordination in organizing the event in Son La and emphasized that the program's organization has profound significance; acknowledged the positive response of Party committees, authorities, agencies, organizations and people.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the movement of physical training and sports in recent years in Son La has spread widely, contributing to improving the health and physical strength of cadres, soldiers and people. Walking and jogging activities not only form a daily exercise habit but also join hands to reduce carbon emissions, building a green and sustainable lifestyle.

Immediately after the speech of the leader of Son La province, the delegates and participating forces simultaneously walked at Tay Bac Square. In 73 communes and wards of Son La, there was also a simultaneous response to the message "One billion steps into the new era - an action symbolizing solidarity and unity towards a green-clean-sustainable future".

Nearly 200 people in Gia Phu commune's villages participated in the program "Moving Forward with Vietnam".

Right at the program, the Organizing Committee in Son La presented gifts to 6 individuals in difficult circumstances in the province, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love and support.

Comrade Ha Thi Kim Thu, Secretary of Gia Phu Commune Party Committee, said: Nearly 200 people participated in the program and walked a 4km route, starting from the Anti-French Resistance War Relic Site of Nhot village, the area of General Vo Nguyen Giap Temple to Nhot village cultural house. Cadres, soldiers, union members and people in red shirts with yellow stars completed the journey together in a joyful and excited atmosphere.

Leaders of Son La Provincial People's Committee and departments and branches participated in the program "Moving Forward with Vietnam" jointly organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper and the Ministry of Public Security.

The activity "Moving Forward with Vietnam" in Son La is not only a sports and cultural event, but also contributes to strengthening the great national unity bloc, tightening the bond between the police force and the people, building the image of a brave, humane People's Police soldier serving the people.
