Nearly 22 hectares of aquaculture infected with disease

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, since the beginning of the year, the whole province has had nearly 22 hectares of aquaculture infected with the disease.

Of which, acute hepatopancreatic necrosis disease occurred in shrimp farming areas in Dong Hoa town with an area of 16 hectares, Tuy An district with 2.6 hectares, and Song Cau town with nearly 1.4 hectares. White spot disease only occurred sporadically in a few shrimp farming ponds in Dong Hoa town with an infected area of nearly 1 hectare. In addition, in grouper farming areas in Song Cau town, there was also an epidemic of nervous necrosis disease with an infected area of about 0.83 hectares.

Professional agencies have coordinated with localities to guide farmers in treating and handling diseased ponds, surrounding pond environments, and polluted aquaculture areas to prevent the disease from spreading widely.
