Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City Social Insurance agency announced the plan for paying pensions and social insurance benefits for January and February 2024.

Accordingly, the two months' pension payments for the Tet holiday (January and February 2024) for retirees in Ho Chi Minh City will be combined and paid out in a single lump sum during the January 2024 pension payment period.

For those receiving pensions or benefits through bank accounts, the city's postal system transfers the money into their accounts in the first few days of January.

Those who received retirement benefits or social insurance allowances between December 23, 2023 and January 25 will have their payments transferred to their accounts on the first day of February.

For those receiving cash, the city post office will organize payments at designated post office locations over a period of two months, from January 2nd to February 23rd (excluding holidays and weekends).

According to statistics from Ho Chi Minh City Post Office, as of January 31st, there are still 3,759 people receiving pensions and social insurance benefits in cash who have not yet come to post offices to collect their January and February 2024 pensions.
