Linking financial education with training young human resources

NDO - KB Securities Vietnam has just coordinated with Hanoi National University to organize a series of activities for students, including the "Young Scientists Incubation 2025" scholarship award ceremony and the financial knowledge seminar "Putting eggs in the right basket - Investing is a small matter".

At the ceremony, 40 outstanding students were honored and received scholarships worth a total of 1 billion VND. This is the third year the scholarship program has been implemented, bringing the total number of scholarships awarded from 2022 to present to 120, equivalent to 3 billion VND.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Jeon Mun Cheol, General Director of KB Securities Vietnam, said: “For us, the scholarship program is not only a financial support activity, but also a long-term investment in the young generation. We wish to accompany students not only in their studies but also in their journey of developing skills, independent thinking and the ability to adapt to the modern economic environment.”

After the scholarship award ceremony, the seminar “Putting all your eggs in the right basket – Investing is a small matter” took place, led by Mr. Hoang Duc Trung, a former student of the University of Economics (Vietnam National University, Hanoi ), currently an investment consultant at KB Securities Vietnam. The seminar provided basic knowledge about financial investment, how to make a personal financial plan and control risks suitable for students.

Mr. Duc Trung emphasized: “Investment is not a strange field or only for finance students. Because investment is not reserved for a group of people but is an essential skill that helps the young generation build a stable, proactive and smarter financial future right from when they are still in school. Investment is also not a game of chance. When you have knowledge, skills and know how to control your emotions, investment will be a tool to help you master the future.”

It is known that KB Vietnam Securities is also preparing for a series of new playgrounds in the near future such as: creating an active investment ecosystem, a simulated investment competition on the KB Buddy platform, and attractive internship recruitment programs. These are all opportunities for young people to try their hand, hone their skills, and connect with a professional financial environment.
