Working together to build a better life.
The Fatherland Front Committee of Mau Due commune has reformed its content and methods of operation to be closer to the people; promptly grasping the thoughts and aspirations of the people in order to disseminate information, mobilize support, and create consensus within the community.
Mr. Hoang Van Leng, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Mau Due commune, said: “The Fatherland Front Committee of the commune focuses on innovating propaganda work, applying information technology, and implementing digital transformation solutions to improve operational efficiency and strengthen connections with the people. Alongside this, the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" has been widely implemented in every village. The Standing Committee of the Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, in coordination with member organizations, has propagated and mobilized members and the people to actively participate in movements such as "Green Sunday," environmental sanitation, waste collection, and displaying the national flag during holidays and festivals... All activities have received the support and participation of the people.
Since the beginning of the year, the Fatherland Front Committee of the commune has coordinated with agencies, units, businesses, and philanthropists to mobilize resources to care for the poor, policy beneficiary families, and households with difficult circumstances. The entire commune has distributed 1,210 Tet gifts with a total value of over 726 million VND; and provided more than 8 tons of rice to households at risk of food shortages during the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026. At the same time, it received 520 million VND in support from the Provincial Relief Campaign Committee to assist 6 households in relocating their homes from landslide-prone areas to safer locations.
The family of Mr. Tan A Tot, from Ngam La village, is one of the households that received timely visits, encouragement, and support from the Fatherland Front Committee of the commune and other organizations after the natural disaster. Mr. Tot shared: "The timely sharing not only helped my family overcome difficulties but also spread the spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance in the community."
Community engagement
The "Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses" emulation movement continues to be effectively implemented, becoming a highlight in the local social welfare work. In 2025, the entire commune eliminated 107 temporary houses and is currently continuing to build an additional 65 houses for disadvantaged households. At the same time, the locality also relocated 9 households from landslide-prone areas to safer locations.

In Phieng De village, the spirit of community solidarity is increasingly evident. Chang A Manh, Party Secretary and Head of the Village Front Committee, said: “In recent years, thanks to the propaganda and mobilization efforts of the Fatherland Front and other organizations, the villagers have become increasingly united, actively participating in local emulation movements, developing the economy together, preserving ethnic cultural identity, and building a new life.”
In response to the movement to eliminate temporary housing, the village provided labor support to help 7 poor households and households with particularly difficult circumstances build new houses. For each house, villagers took turns assisting with 7 to 10 people each day to transport materials, dig foundations, and erect the house.
Mr. Tan A Rin, who regularly participates in helping build houses for local families, shared: "Everyone contributes what they can, whether it's strength or labor. Seeing the people have new, sturdy houses to live in makes us very happy."
Besides caring for the spiritual well-being of the people, the Fatherland Front Committee of the commune also actively connects resources to support people in difficult housing situations. Ms. Chang Thi Lau, from Phieng De village, was connected by the Commune People's Committee and the Commune Fatherland Front Committee with the "Bridge of Compassion" program of Tuyen Quang Newspaper and Radio and Television to receive support in building a new house of over 60 square meters. The house is now nearly completed and ready for occupancy.
Through practical actions, close to the people, and serving the people, the Fatherland Front Committee of Mau Due commune is continuing to play a core role in building national unity, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, maintaining security and order, and building an increasingly united and compassionate community.
