Preparations are underway for the industry's major holiday.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa chaired a meeting to review the progress of preparations for the 80th anniversary celebration of the Agriculture and Environment sector and the first National Emulation Congress.

On the afternoon of November 3rd, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa chaired a working session with the Department of Organization and Personnel (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) on preparations for the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Agriculture and Environment Sector (November 14, 1945 - November 14, 2025) and the First National Emulation Congress. The meeting focused on reviewing progress, awarding commendations, the content of documentary films, and the script for honoring exemplary collectives and individuals.

At the meeting, Director of the Personnel and Organization Department Pham Tan Tuyen stated that so far, 43 units have submitted nominations for awards. 28 out of 34 localities have submitted lists of outstanding farmers, along with 7 departments requesting Certificates of Merit from the Ministry. The Department is finalizing a comprehensive report to submit to the Ministry's leadership for consideration, ensuring that the recognition process is carried out correctly and promptly.

In addition, the awarding of commemorative medals has been accelerated, with over 1,000 medals awarded in the fields of agriculture and environment. Some localities will organize on-site award ceremonies, initiated by the province which will be responsible for the content and recipients of the awards.

In her directive, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa requested that units carefully review the list of individuals, groups, and businesses nominated for awards, avoiding awarding those involved in incidents or violations in the fields of mineral resources and the environment. She also emphasized the need to balance the time allocated to different parts of the program, prioritizing time for the award presentation to localities and businesses.

The Deputy Minister also requested the Department of Personnel and Organization to finalize the detailed script soon, ensuring solemnity, efficiency in time, and highlighting the honorary content and documentary film about the industry's traditions.

Regarding the emulation clusters, the Deputy Minister noted that the clustering must be reasonable, convenient for transportation, and have similarities between localities. Units need to proactively coordinate, complete dossiers, and report on schedule, avoiding piling work close to the event.

The Deputy Minister requested relevant departments to expedite progress and finalize preparations early to ensure that the first National Emulation Congress and Commemoration Ceremony of the Agriculture and Environment sector takes place in a solemn, effective manner, in the spirit of emulation, solidarity, and development.
