According to the decision, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa will manage the ministry's operations until the competent authority completes the ministerial position according to regulations.

This Decision takes effect from August 10, 2024.

Previously, on August 3, the 13th Party Central Committee held a meeting on personnel work under its authority.

Based on the report of the Central Inspection Commission and the proposal of the Central Organizing Committee, the Party Central Committee found that Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, former Secretary of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee, Head of the 15th National Assembly Delegation of Ha Giang Province, violated Party regulations in performing assigned duties and tasks, violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do, the responsibility to set an example and regulations on preventing corruption and negativity.

Realizing his responsibility to the Party and the people, he submitted a resignation letter from his assigned positions.

Based on current regulations of the Party and State and considering the wishes of personnel, the Party Central Committee agreed to let Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh cease to hold the position of member of the 13th Party Central Committee.
