Urgently complete and hand over key projects early

Speed up progress

From May 13 to June 19, Tuy Hoa City People's Committee organized many field inspections of the implementation of key projects in the city. Along with that, city leaders gathered information from investors and local authorities to promptly direct specialized departments and offices to resolve difficulties, overcome backlogs, and speed up the implementation of projects.

According to Mr. Tra Kim Hoi, Director of the Management Board of Investment, Construction and Land Fund Development of Tuy Hoa City, when the investor of the Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital Project reported that the site was still stuck, making it difficult to complete the project this year as planned, the city leaders immediately asked the specialized agencies to explain the reasons, propose solutions and conduct field visits to specifically grasp the difference between the reflection and reality. In fact, the hospital construction area was not stuck, only some households with areas near the fence were stuck. The city leaders directed to resolve the issue completely. By May 13, 98% of the total project area had been handed over, equivalent to 2.15/2.19 hectares. For 3/43 subjects who had not yet handed over the site, the city also had a plan to adjust compensation. By June 6, the subjects had accepted and signed the handover minutes. Thus, this project has now completed the handover of the site to the investor at 100%.

Along with that, Tuy Hoa City is also interested in accelerating the progress of site clearance for social housing projects and the Ho Son Lake project along with surrounding infrastructure. Mr. Cao Dinh Huy, Chairman of the City People's Committee, said: The Provincial People's Committee has just approved the investment policy for 2 social housing projects in Tuy Hoa City. Including the urban residential area project adjacent to the North of Tran Phu Street, phase 1, with an area of 0.82 hectares of 128 plots. In April 2025, the city issued Decision 2565 to establish a working group to monitor, direct and implement compensation and site clearance for this land; by May 13, over 90% of the site had been cleared, with the remaining 0.08 hectares (4 plots) having housing. Up to now, the city has cleared 100% of the site for this project. For the Ho Son Lake Project and surrounding infrastructure, 23.63/23.7 hectares of land have been cleared, reaching a rate of 99.7%. In cases where the land has not been handed over, the city is taking steps to mobilize and enforce according to the provisions of law.

Chairman of Tuy Hoa City People's Committee Cao Dinh Huy added: Social housing projects in the area are part of the Project to invest in building at least 1 million social housing units for low-income people in the province. The biggest goal is to solve the housing needs of beneficiaries of social housing policies; form social housing areas in the form of apartments, synchronize technical infrastructure, social infrastructure, as well as concretize the detailed planning adjustment project. Therefore, accelerating social housing projects has great community and social security significance. Along with that, the Ho Son regulating lake project and surrounding infrastructure are not only associated with Ho Son park, a highlight of the city's ecological public works, which attracts a large number of people and tourists to sightsee and relax, but also a flood drainage and climate regulation project that contributes significantly to environmental protection, towards climate change adaptation. This project, when completed soon, will contribute to increasing the urban beauty of the city's central park.

Only a few days left until Tuy Hoa ward, Phu Yen ward, Binh Kien ward officially come into operation. The work is very busy but the city government is still taking drastic measures to resolve the land clearance problems for important projects being implemented in the area. Currently, many large projects are basically progressing according to plan. This will be an important premise for the 3 new wards to have more favorable conditions to come into operation.

“Regarding the Phu Yen Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital project, up to now, Dak Lak province has not had a maternity and pediatrics hospital, so the Phu Yen Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital coming into operation this year will be an important project in completing the medical infrastructure of the new province,” Mr. Tra Kim Hoi added.

In addition to the above projects, some projects invested by the province, Tuy Hoa City is also promoting compensation, site clearance and completing necessary procedures to hand over to wards, communes and management units after July 1, 2025 when implementing a 2-level government. According to the Management Board of Investment, Construction and Land Fund Development Projects of Tuy Hoa City, the coastal road project of Phu Yen province, the section connecting Tuy An district with Tuy Hoa City (phase 1) will hand over 500m (section from An Phu Commune People's Committee to the North) to the investor to organize construction before June 25; the remaining part will be handed over to the Provincial Land Fund Development Center and Binh Kien Ward People's Committee to continue implementation. For the 2 projects, the technical infrastructure of the residential area south of the new urban area in the South of Tuy Hoa City; The central park area in the new urban area of South Tuy Hoa City has less than 30% of the work done, so Phu Yen ward and the Provincial Land Fund Development Center will take over.
