New York Arabica Coffee Price June 24, 2025

Similarly, at the New York Stock Exchange, Arabica coffee prices tended to increase in the trading session at 15:15 on June 24, 2025, specifically:

September 2025 futures increased by 11.50 cents/lb (+3.65%), to 326.55 cents/lb.

May 2026 futures increased by 9.05 cents/lb (+3.01%), to 309.75 cents/lb.

The Arabica coffee market is also showing positive changes and needs to be closely monitored in the coming time.

In the recent trading session, coffee prices went through a period of volatility before regaining impressive momentum.

On the evening of June 23, US President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran, with the expectation that this would be the beginning of lasting peace.

In contrast, short covering activity has been seen in the coffee futures market, due to a lack of rain in Brazil, according to a report from Somar Meteorologia, which showed that the Minas Gerais region – the heartland of arabica coffee production – recorded no rain in the week ending June 21.

Additionally, Rural Clima warns of unusual temperatures and the possibility of frost in the next 72 hours in Brazil, which could impact coffee growing regions in São Paulo and Minas Gerais.

According to Reuters, weather expert Marcin Gorski from LSEG predicted: "Temperatures in southern Brazil will drop sharply in the next two days, increasing the risk of frost in Parana and neighboring areas."

Although Parana is a small coffee-producing region in Brazil, it is close to major regions such as São Paulo.

Another factor driving the market is that in the first two days of the July arabica delivery period, only four lots were offered, according to broker Tomas Araujo of StoneX.

Robusta inventories monitored by ICE fell to a one-month low of 5,137 lots on June 23, while arabica inventories also fell from a four-and-a-half-month high of 892,468 bags on May 27 to 865,898 bags earlier this week.

In Uganda, coffee exports in May increased significantly compared to the same period last year, thanks to a bumper crop in the central and southwestern regions.

Specifically, Uganda earned $244 million from coffee, up 92% from last year, according to the Uganda Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock Industry and Fisheries.

Export output reached 793,445 bags (60 kg each), up 44% compared to May 2024.

As Africa's leading coffee exporter, Uganda relies heavily on the commodity for foreign exchange, with the robusta variety dominating.

Uganda's coffee exports have surged recently thanks to high yields and farmers and traders pushing sales to take advantage of market value.
