News, forecast of coffee prices tomorrow 6/24/2025

With current market signals, there can be 2 scenarios for forecasting coffee prices on June 24, 2025:

Scenario 1: Prices remain unchanged (high probability): Today's data shows that the coffee market is regaining balance. Traders tend to observe, not push up buying and selling, leading to a sideways state. If there are no new fluctuations from the international market in the trading session on the evening of June 23 (Vietnam time), domestic coffee prices will likely continue to remain unchanged.

Scenario 2: Slight increase (medium possibility): Some areas may start to see buying power again as prices drop to attractive levels. If export enterprises consider this a strategic collection point, prices may increase slightly by 100 - 300 VND/kg, especially in localities with low inventories such as Lam Dong.

However, with the pressure from the world market still very large, we cannot expect a strong price rebound in the short term. Farmers and investors need to follow the developments every day to make timely decisions.

Domestic coffee price forecast on June 24, 2025

Recorded on June 23, the domestic coffee market was only 95,500 - 96,000 VND/kg, the lowest level since March 2024. It is forecasted that on June 24, domestic coffee prices will likely remain at this level, with an insignificant fluctuation range (±50 VND/kg). However, in some areas such as Lam Dong, if purchasing power from export enterprises increases, prices may slightly increase to around 96,100 - 96,300 VND/kg.

International coffee price forecast June 24, 2025

On the London exchange, the price of Robusta coffee futures for July 2025 delivery is currently at $3,887/ton, down 27.6% compared to early May. On the New York exchange, the price of Arabica coffee futures for July 2025 delivery fell 21.4% to $315.05/pound. It is forecasted that on June 24, international coffee prices will continue to be under pressure from abundant supply and a strong USD. If there is no new geopolitical news or adverse weather, Robusta prices may fluctuate around $3,850-3,900/ton, while Arabica prices will fluctuate around $310-320/pound.

Reasons for the plunge in domestic coffee prices

Domestic coffee prices have fallen sharply due to the following factors:

Global supply increases: Brazil, the world’s largest coffee producer, is expected to harvest a 0.5% increase in its 2025 crop to around 65 million bags. In Vietnam, Robusta coffee output in 2025-26 is estimated to increase by 7% to 31 million bags, a four-year high thanks to favorable weather.

Profit-taking on international exchanges: Speculators rushed to sell after a period of high prices, putting great pressure on Robusta and Arabica coffee prices on the London and New York exchanges.

Strong US dollar and geopolitical tensions: A stronger US dollar makes dollar-denominated commodities like coffee more expensive, reducing demand. Global geopolitical tensions also cause money to leave the commodity market.

Crude oil prices rise: According to expert Nguyen Quang Binh, the escalation of armed conflict has pushed crude oil prices up sharply, causing commodity exchanges such as Robusta, Arabica and cocoa to lose their appeal. Since the beginning of the year, trading yields on the cocoa exchange have fallen by 27%, Robusta by 19.5%, and Arabica by -1.5%.

Note for coffee growers

Closely monitor the market: Growers need to update price developments on international and domestic exchanges daily to make timely selling decisions.

Inventory management: With prices unlikely to increase sharply in the short term, farmers should consider selling just enough coffee to cover costs, avoiding hoarding goods waiting for higher prices.

Diversify your income: Invest in other crops or agricultural products to reduce your exposure to coffee price fluctuations.

Cooperate with export enterprises: Sign long-term consumption contracts with reputable enterprises to ensure stable output, avoiding dependence on traders.
