Ton Duc Thang Museum is ranked as a Grade I museum.

Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung signed Decision No. 2086/QD-BVHTTDL dated June 20, 2025 on museum classification.

Accordingly, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism decided to rank Ton Duc Thang Museum as a Grade I museum.

Ton Duc Thang Museum enjoys the regimes and policies for Grade I Museums in the Vietnamese museum system according to current regulations.

Ton Duc Thang Museum

According to the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Ton Duc Thang Museum was ranked Grade II by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City according to Decision No. 4602/QD-UBND dated August 26, 2017.

In the period of 2021-2023, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee invested in the construction of a new Ton Duc Thang Museum, with a construction area of ​​1,722 m2, total construction floor area: 8,551 m2, including: a warehouse to ensure the storage and preservation of documents and artifacts; permanent and thematic exhibition areas; areas serving regular activities; President Ton Duc Thang monument area...

At the same time, the Museum is fully equipped with facilities to serve visitors, protect, preserve documents, artifacts and other activities of the Museum.

The new construction project of Ton Duc Thang Museum meets the requirements of sustainable architecture and suitable technical infrastructure, ensuring the preservation and display of documents and artifacts specified in Point a, Point b, Point c, Clause 1, Article 30, Decree No. 98/2010/ND-CP and the museum's Grade I ranking standards.

The museum was inaugurated and put into operation on January 3, 2025, serving visitors well, contributing to promoting Uncle Ton's revolutionary moral values ​​to the public.
