The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the Vietnam Airlines Party Committee is one of the largest and most specific Party Committees in the Party Committee system under the Government Party Committee, with a wide range of activities at home and abroad. Organizing the congress in the context of geographical dispersion and international activities requires great efforts from the Party Committee, cadres and Party members throughout the Corporation.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested that the Party Committee of the Corporation should demonstrate a consistent mindset, closely following the Central Committee's orientation, from reviewing the previous term to building the direction for the new term. The political report should clearly demonstrate the role of Vietnam Airlines in implementing major goals and tasks, contributing to breakthrough solutions of the state-owned enterprise sector; identifying the values that have been built that need to be further promoted, creating new motivation for a steady "take-off".
Concluding the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that Vietnam Airlines is a state-owned enterprise holding a particularly important position - being a national airline, associated with a national brand, carrying a national mission.
Therefore, in its strategic orientations and development goals, Vietnam Airlines needs to continue to affirm and clearly demonstrate its leading and key role as a national airline, contributing to realizing the goal of developing a modern and sustainable aviation industry; effectively participating in the domestic and international air transport network, facilitating trade, tourism, logistics, international cooperation and ensuring national defense and security.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that it is necessary to place Vietnam Airlines in the overall development strategy of the civil aviation industry, transportation and the overall planning for national socio-economic development, including the issue of forming an international aviation transit center in Vietnam.
Along with developing the fleet and flight network, the Deputy Prime Minister requested Vietnam Airlines to proactively participate and play an important role in developing a modern, synchronous, and highly competitive aviation service ecosystem. Specifically, Vietnam Airlines needs to focus on investing in improving the quality of infrastructure, ground services, aviation logistics, aircraft repair and maintenance services; investing in training facilities for pilots, engineers, and technicians to ensure international standards, aiming to become a regional aviation training center.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the issue of building the image and brand of Vietnam Airlines is not only through a modern and safe fleet, but also through the manners, uniforms, services on board, the service attitude of flight attendants, and every detail on flights must reflect the cultural identity, Vietnamese people, and international standards.
Reporting at the meeting, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Airlines Dang Ngoc Hoa said that the Party Committee of Vietnam Airlines has determined the goal for the next term to be strong recovery and sustainable development, with the orientation of becoming one of the two largest full-service airlines in Southeast Asia and among the top 10 favorite airlines in Asia.
Vietnam Airlines leaders also emphasized the need for national support mechanisms and policies to enhance the competitiveness of the aviation industry, including connections between airlines and airport infrastructure, visa policies and destination development. In addition to production and business targets, the Vietnam Airlines Party Committee set specific goals for digital transformation, building corporate culture, improving customer experience, and becoming a 5-star airline in terms of service and technology.
Regarding Party building work, Vietnam Airlines continues to uphold the criteria of "clean and strong", focusing on recruiting new Party members, improving the quality of Party cell activities, inspection, supervision, mass mobilization and political ideology work...
