Nearly 100,000 candidates in Ho Chi Minh City enter the 2025 High School Graduation Exam

Candidates in Ho Chi Minh City confidently enter the graduation exam.

Feeling relaxed but also a little anxious, Phuong Anh, a 12A1 student at Trung Vuong High School, District 1, said she was a bit worried because this year was the first time the Literature exam was based on the 2018 GeneralEducation Program, so she didn't know what to expect.

"After doing the recent Literature sample test, I found the test to be different from previous years. It was a bit more difficult and longer, and more closely related to reality," Phuong Anh said.

Meanwhile, Nhu Y, class 12A10, Ernst Thälmann High School, District 1, is confident about the Literature exam because she has prepared her lessons since the beginning of the year.

Although confident, candidates are still a bit worried because this year's exam questions are the first to follow the 2018 General Education Program.

“Although I am confident in the knowledge I have learned, I am also worried because this year's exam questions are the first to follow the 2018 General Education Program, so I don't know what to expect,” Nhu Y shared.

This year's exam is the first to be organized under the 2018 General Education Program; at the same time, there are still candidates taking the exam under the 2006 General Education Program. Therefore, Ho Chi Minh City has focused on organizing the exam carefully.

At the Trung Vuong High School exam site in District 1, there are about 600 candidates taking the exam in 25 exam rooms. According to the head of the Trung Vuong High School exam site, the exam site has seriously prepared security, safety, health , and electricity plans.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, the 2025 high school graduation exam in the city will be large-scale with about 99,570 candidates registered to take the exam, an increase of more than 8,890 candidates compared to 2024.

Of which, there are 97,940 candidates taking the exam under the 2018 General Education Program and 1,638 candidates under the 2006 General Education Program. Notably, the number of independent candidates increased by 5,000 compared to 2024.

According to Mr. Nguyen Bao Quoc, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, to meet this scale, the city has arranged more than 171 testing locations with a total of 4,242 testing rooms.

Specifically, 168 examination sites with 4,180 examination rooms for candidates under the 2018 General Education Program and 3 examination sites with 62 examination rooms for candidates under the 2006 General Education Program. Each examination site is arranged with 3 spare rooms to handle arising situations.

Volunteers cheered candidates on to enter the exam confidently and achieve high results.

Ho Chi Minh City also mobilized a workforce of 855 officials from the examination site management board, 12,726 invigilators, 2,394 examination site service staff, more than 510 police officers on duty at the examination sites, 92 officials from the examination paper printing board...
