Also attending were former members of the Party Central Committee, leaders and former leaders of Central agencies, former National Assembly deputies of Tuyen Quang province through different periods; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; leaders of the People's Council, People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of departments, agencies and branches in the province.
Speaking at the meeting, comrade Ha Thi Nga, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Tuyen Quang province affirmed: The meeting is an opportunity to express gratitude and honor the contributions of generations of National Assembly deputies of Tuyen Quang province.
At the same time, this is also an opportunity to look back at the glorious 80-year journey of the Vietnamese National Assembly, from its predecessor, the Tan Trao National Congress, which took place at Tan Trao communal house, Tan Trao commune, Son Duong district, Tuyen Quang province on August 16, 1945. The Congress unanimously approved the General Uprising policy, passed 10 major policies of the Viet Minh Front, established the Vietnam National Liberation Committee (ie the Provisional Government) with Ho Chi Minh as President, leading the entire people to seize power and build a new regime.
The Tan Trao National Congress is as meaningful as the Dien Hong Conference of the new era, demonstrating the solidarity and unanimity of the entire nation at the decisive moment of the country's destiny, a milestone in the glorious history of the Vietnamese revolution.
Comrade Ha Thi Nga emphasized that over the past 80 years, the National Assembly Delegation of Tuyen Quang province has had 83 delegates, of which 50 are ethnic minorities, 18 are women, and many comrades hold high positions at the central and local levels.
During the 15th National Assembly term alone, the provincial National Assembly Delegation left many outstanding marks: organizing 19 thematic supervisions, sending more than 1,200 comments on 155 draft laws, having 23 rounds of questioning at the National Assembly and actively participating in discussing and resolving many important contents, including resolutions on amending the Constitution and rearranging administrative units at the provincial and communal levels.
The provincial National Assembly delegation has made important contributions to the overall success of the National Assembly, participating in the constitutional and legislative processes, exercising supreme supervision and deciding on important national issues, always affirming its role as a representative of the will and aspirations of the people, truly a solid bridge between the Party, the State and the people, between the National Assembly and voters.
Those historical milestones are invaluable assets, a solid foundation for generations of National Assembly deputies to continue, inherit and promote the achievements that have been made.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong expressed his emotion when returning to Tuyen Quang, the capital of the liberated zone, the capital of the resistance war, where the Tan Trao National Congress gave birth to the predecessor of today's Vietnamese National Assembly.
Throughout the 80-year journey of the National Assembly, generations of National Assembly deputies of Tuyen Quang province have always maintained their mettle and responsibility, making important contributions to the development of the National Assembly and the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
He acknowledged and commended the outstanding contributions of the 15th National Assembly Delegation of Tuyen Quang province, especially in legislative work, supreme supervision and decision-making on important issues of the country.
Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong highly appreciated the pioneering role of Tuyen Quang province in implementing the National Assembly's Resolution on rearranging provincial and communal administrative units and establishing two-level local governments.
He suggested that the province continue to promote its tradition, solidarity, flexibility to overcome difficulties, quickly stabilize the organizational apparatus after the merger, creating new development momentum for the land rich in revolutionary traditions. He hoped that the National Assembly Delegation of Tuyen Quang province would continue to make efforts, serve the people, and contribute to the rapid, sustainable, and comprehensive development of the new Tuyen Quang province, worthy of its role as the homeland of the Vietnamese National Assembly.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tuyen Quang province awarded Certificates of Merit to 28 collectives and 35 individuals with outstanding achievements in the activities of the 15th National Assembly Delegation of Tuyen Quang province, term 2021-2024.
