International visitors reached 3.66 million (up 21.8%), domestic visitors reached 11.9 million (up 9%). Total tourism revenue reached 62,299 billion VND, an increase of 14.6% over the same period in 2024.
The highlight of the capital's tourism at the beginning of 2025 is the continuous honors in many prestigious international awards and the high appreciation of international media. According to the latest statistics of Time Out Magazine (UK) based on global search data, Hanoi is in the top 15 most favorite cities of tourists in the world.

Recognizing the results that Hanoi's tourism industry has achieved in the first months of 2025, Chairman of the Hanoi Tourism Association Nguyen Manh Than said that although the capital's tourism industry is still facing difficulties, it has maintained stable growth.

International tourists highly appreciated tourism products associated with cultural heritage, cuisine, tours to experience traditional craft villages and nightlife activities. In 2025, Hanoi's tourism industry aims to attract over 30 million visitors, an increase of 11.1% compared to 2024. Of which, 7 million international tourists will be welcomed, an increase of 27.3% compared to 2024 and 23 million domestic tourists, an increase of 7% compared to 2024. Regarding information on attracting international visitors to Hanoi at the end of the year, Director of Vietfoot Travel Company Pham Duy Nghia said that Autumn - Winter is the "golden season" of tourism in the capital to welcome international visitors, but to do this, Hanoi needs to build new products and promote promotion.
Agreeing with this analysis, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Tourism Association Phung Quang Thang shared that currently, travel companies have put into operation 20 night tours to exploit historical relics such as Hoa Lo Prison, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam... In particular, on May 28, Hanoi tourism opened the night tour "Tran Vu Bell" at the special national relic Quan Thanh Temple.
