2025 is the first year that the high school graduation exam is organized according to the 2018 GeneralEducation Program, so the exam questions are of particular interest to candidates. In particular, the Literature subject has a big change in the question-making stage when it does not choose materials from textbooks in the reading comprehension, social commentary and literary commentary sections.
Faced with the exam requirements that were full of the breath of the times and talked about the country's strong transformation, many candidates could not hide their surprise. The fact that the material was not in the textbook made some students a little worried when they first read the questions, but the candidates still completed the exam well.
At the exam site of Nam Trung Yen Secondary School (Cau Giay District), Anh Duong (Foreign Language Specialized High School) shared: “At first, when I read the exam questions, I was a bit surprised because the questions were broad and a bit abstract, but when I read them carefully, I found them interesting and strange. I often watch the news at home, so I know a lot about the merger of provinces/cities. In addition, I also spent a lot of time reviewing the sample exam questions, so I did quite well on my exam.”
Candidate Anh Duong was surprised by the strange but interesting exam questions. |
Assessing the good and practical exam, Bui Huu Khanh (Nguyen Tat Thanh Secondary and High School) said: "I find this year's exam very practical, not requiring memorization of knowledge, but each person's feelings about their homeland and country. I think this type of exam helps students not only write better but also have a deeper awareness of their role towards the country."
Bui Huu Khanh (in black shirt) and his friend left the exam room excited because they did well on the test. |
Leaving the exam room with a very relaxed mindset, Nguyen Tran Dan Khanh (Yen Hoa High School) said that he and his family were not too pressured by this exam because Khanh had passed the university entrance exam. "After reading the requirements of the social argument section, I immediately related it to the merger, a big change that is taking place in many places including where I live. Merging is for the country to develop more, so everyone is very supportive. It is our responsibility as young people to try harder to study and work to help the country grow," Khanh said.
"I think the exam according to the new curriculum helps us develop our thinking ability and inspires us to write more. Today's exam gave me a lot of inspiration and I was able to write 3 pages. I hope I will get a high score in this exam," Nguyen Linh Anh (Yen Hoa High School) shared.
