The Con Throwing Festival of 3 countries Vietnam - Laos - China is about to take place in Dien Bien

VHO - It is expected that from December 19 to 21, the 9th Vietnam - Laos - China Con Throwing Festival in 2025 will be held in Dien Bien Phu ward, Dien Bien province. This is a regular event every two years hosted by the border provinces of Vietnam, Laos and China in turn.

The 9th Vietnam - Laos - China Con Throwing Festival in 2025 is a meaningful political and cultural event to enhance exchange, cooperation and foreign affairs between border localities.

This is an opportunity to introduce the unique traditional cultural beauty of ethnic groups, promote tourism potential, and enhance opportunities for understanding and cooperation between the authorities and people of localities in the three countries of Vietnam - Laos - China .

Thereby, contributing to promoting socio -economic development, ensuring national defense and security, further tightening solidarity and friendship between Party committees at all levels, authorities and people in border areas.

Accordingly, the Festival has the participation of delegations from Dien Bien province, Lai Chau province; Nhot U district, Phong-Sa-Ly district, Phong-Sa-Ly province, Lao PDR; Giang Thanh district, Pho Nhi city, Yunnan province, PDR of China.

The festival has the theme "Solidarity, friendship - Border love - Development together" with main activities including: opening and closing ceremonies, exhibition space to introduce and promote cultural and tourism products, photo exhibition; organizing sports competitions such as throwing con, pushing sticks, crossbow shooting, top-up, tug-of-war, pickleball; famtrip program to survey tourism products and meet with travel service businesses.
