Dedicated to the profession

In the small house of Ms. Le Thuy Linh Phuong, the certificates of merit and awards are neatly hung on the wall as a mark of her journey of more than 2 decades of dedication to the career of educating people. For many years, Ms. Phuong has been recognized as a Provincial Emulation Fighter; honored to receive a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister for her outstanding achievements in education and training, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland; won many high prizes in the Provincial High School Teacher Competition and has many valuable topics and initiatives in teaching. And behind the sparkle of those recognitions is a humble, calm teacher who always maintains a high sense of responsibility for each lecture and each assigned task.

During 22 years of teaching, Ms. Phuong has always maintained a neat demeanor, a receptive attitude, and considered professional standards as principles in life.

“As a teacher and a party member, I remind myself to always be a role model, take the lead in all educational activities, strictly comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations, and the school's regulations. Most importantly, I must be an example for students to follow,” Ms. Phuong shared.

What makes each of her Literature lessons special is the way she brings literature closer to life. She designs engaging learning activities and assigns tasks before each new lesson so that students can proactively prepare; thus, students enter the class with excitement, experience, discuss, and form independent thinking. Literature under her guidance is no longer dry but becomes a journey of discovery , self-perception, and gradual maturity for each student.

Nguyen Lam Xuan Mai, class 12D6, Nguyen Du High School shared: “Ms. Phuong is not only my Literature teacher but also my second mother. From the first days of high school, she has wholeheartedly guided, cared for and helped me step by step. Thanks to her dedicated and friendly teaching style, she has made Literature more interesting and easier to learn. She not only imparts knowledge but also teaches me how to perceive life, how to think maturely and live kindly.”

"Love" - the greatest value that nurtures the teaching profession

For Ms. Le Thuy Linh Phuong, what keeps her in the profession is not only responsibility but also love - a value that she considers the most fundamental and enduring. Sharing her life perspective, Ms. Phuong confided: “I have been attached to this profession for 22 years, that journey has had joy, but also many challenges, sometimes making me think of changing direction. But in the end, because of my love for my students, my love for the profession and my destiny with the teaching profession, I stayed. With love, we can do the best for
everybody".

In her story, Ms. Phuong always mentions the word "love", love is not just an emotion, it is tolerance, understanding, wishing the best for others and always accompanied by small but practical actions. For Ms. Phuong, that word "love" is present in every lesson, from the way she patiently listens, gently reminds to the dedication to help students overcome difficulties.

In the evaluation of colleagues, Ms. Le Thuy Linh Phuong is one of the outstanding factors of Nguyen Du High School. Mr. Nguyen Quang Hung, Vice Principal of the school shared: “Ms. Phuong is one of the excellent and typical teachers of the school. She contributes to improving the quality of Literature education. As a Party member, she always studies, conducts scientific research and completes all assigned tasks well.”

Ms. Nguyen Thai Hoang Thuong, a student of Nguyen Du High School, class of 2019-2020, even though she has graduated, still returns to visit her every charter season.

Ms. Hoang Thuong confided: “My maturity and small successes today all have the mark of Ms. Phuong. To me, Ms. Phuong is not only a literature teacher but also a companion, a listener, a counselor and a guide for me in both study and life. Until now, when I have entered the journey of building a career, the lesson of love that Ms. Phuong passed on to me is always valuable at every moment of my life.

A worthy reward

The late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong once affirmed: “Teaching is the noblest of all noble professions, the most creative of all creative professions”. In the past 22 years, Ms. Le Thuy Linh Phuong has lived up to that nobility with her wholeheartedness, dedication and sense of responsibility. The Third Class Labor Medal that she has just received is not only a reward for her tireless efforts but also a source of pride for the collective of Nguyen Du High School - where she has worked and contributed significantly to the professional development of the school.

“As a colleague of Ms. Phuong, I see that she is not only good at her profession, hard-working and dedicated to her job, but also a party member with a strong political ideology. She is truly a shining example for students to follow and also a source of inspiration and motivation for colleagues to follow and constantly improve themselves every day” - commented Mr. Le Xuan Hai, teacher of Economic and Legal Education, Nguyen Du High School.

For Ms. Le Thuy Linh Phuong, the Third Class Labor Medal is not only an honor but also a motivation for her to continue her journey of spreading knowledge and love on the podium. For her, the greatest happiness is still to witness her students grow up, that is the "medal" from the heart that every teacher carries with her throughout her life.
