Cuor Dang Commune: Community joins hands to preserve national cultural identity

As a locality with ethnic minorities accounting for more than 77% of the population, with 12 ethnic groups living together, Cuor Dang commune has been making efforts to preserve, conserve and promote the ethnic cultural identity in the area.

Currently, the commune has maintained regular and effective activities of 3 traditional art troupes and 4 gong clubs.

In particular, the community still preserves many traditional tangible and intangible cultural values ​​typical of ethnic groups, mainly the Ede.

According to statistics, the commune has 46 traditional stilt houses, 20 sets of K'nah gongs, 18 K'pan chairs, 8 H'gor drums, more than 14 ancient jars, 4 gong teams, 10 artisans using Dinh Nam musical instruments, 5 people using bamboo flutes, 16 people who know how to play Ay Ray, Kut, Due, 3 shamans and 1 excellent artisan.

According to Ms. H Lum Nie, Head of the Department of Culture and Society of Cuor Dang commune, in the effort to preserve, maintain and promote the traditions and good cultural values ​​of the ethnic groups in the area, the role of village chiefs, village elders and prestigious people in the community is very important.
