In the Math class of class 6A5, Le Van Thiem Secondary School (Thanh Sen ward, Ha Tinh province), teacher Tran Lam Oanh created a lively learning atmosphere. There, each math operation and each step of reasoning in English became an interesting challenge. From the initial confusion when learning Math while using a foreign language, now, the students are confident in exchanging, discussing and presenting their solutions in English naturally.

Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan - a student of class 6A5, Le Van Thiem Secondary School, Thanh Sen Ward, excitedly shared: "Learning math in English is quite interesting. At first, it was difficult because our vocabulary was still modest, but thanks to the dedication of the teachers, we gradually fell in love with this subject. Most of us feel that Math in English is an accessible subject, helping to train our thinking, calculation and language reflexes, and is also an opportunity for future integration."
Le Van Thiem Secondary School is one of the first public institutions in Ha Tinh to implement teaching Math in English, and has been doing so for 4 years. This is a pioneering step in educational innovation, implementing the policy of making English the second language in schools. Currently, each grade level is arranged from 1 to 2 Math periods in English per week.
Lessons are designed to suit students' abilities, applying modern teaching methods. Together with a team of teachers with solid expertise and good foreign language skills, this model is creating an academic environment that helps students develop mathematical thinking and improve their English skills.
Ms. Tran Lam Oanh - teacher of Le Van Thiem Secondary School shared: "The school has reviewed the entire Math program according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training , from which the lessons are designed in a simplified, focused direction and suitable for the foreign language ability of students. Algorithms and concepts are systematized with images and intuitive examples to help students access more easily. At the same time, teachers also build a bank of exercises differentiated by many levels, helping students grasp basic knowledge and develop mathematical thinking in English effectively."
Not only innovating in language, many schools have also deployed artificial intelligence applications to bring creative Math lessons. Dry formulas are transformed by AI into fun music, helping students memorize faster, or become interactive games with just a few simple steps. AI not only makes the lesson more lively but also helps students understand the nature of each type of math. This is also the way schools arouse interest, nurture students' thinking ability and passion in each Math lesson.

Teacher Tran Duc Quan - iSchool Ha Tinh International Integration School shared: "I use a lot of AI tools in teaching, from planning lessons or organizing some activities in class. Even for some dry math theorems, I have been creative by using AI to design some songs. From there, it helps students become much more interested, grasp knowledge faster and more effectively.
Along with innovation in each lesson, many schools also create conditions for students to participate in domestic and international math playgrounds. International math and thinking competitions are held regularly, not only as a place to train intelligence, but also as an environment for students to discover their own abilities.
For Mai Duc Ninh - a 6E student at Nguyen Trai Secondary School (Tien Dien Commune), his passion for Mathematics was nurtured through each challenge. Encouraged by teachers to participate in intellectual playgrounds, his love for Mathematics grew more and more. At the end of November, Ninh won the Silver Medal at the FMO 2025 International Math Olympiad.
Mai Duc Ninh shared: “Winning this award, I am very happy and proud. In my opinion, to study Math well, first of all, you must nurture your passion, be passionate about self-study, persevere in practice and absolutely not give up no matter how difficult it is. In addition, the support of teachers and parents is also an extremely important factor for me to be determined to realize my dream.”

The results achieved show a clear innovation in teaching and learning Mathematics in schools today. Teachers not only impart knowledge but also proactively seek new methods, apply technology, and organize experiential activities so that each lesson becomes a space for creativity and exploration of thinking.
The combination of innovation in each lesson with participation in digital math playgrounds has created a comprehensive educational environment where students are nurtured with passion, challenged to grow and have more opportunities to reach out to the world.
Ms. Doan Thi Thanh Huyen - Vice Principal of Le Van Thiem Secondary School said: "The school has built a high-quality program, which integrates content to enhance and develop thinking to improve students' capacity. The team of Math teachers always focuses on applied thinking, turning classroom lectures into real-life situations. Thanks to that, students can apply Math knowledge to life fluently, confidently and creatively."
With the philosophy of bringing life into lessons and bringing lessons back to life, teachers are always creative and open to students new approaches, where Mathematics becomes close, easy to understand and inspiring. Numbers and formulas are no longer rigid, but become tools for students to explore the world, nurture thinking, and build the future. And from these changes, the love of Mathematics is awakened so that each problem becomes a thinking game, and each lesson is a development opportunity for future owners.
