Education sector leads digital transformation, supports administrative reform

For the Youth Union members of Cam Binh High School, since the establishment of the two-level local government, weekends have become more meaningful in supporting the locality and people in digital transformation activities.

Dang Quynh Nga - class 11A4, Cam Binh High School, and her friends went to the villages to support people in digital transformation.

With their quickness, eagerness to learn and early access to technology, they can easily guide people to operate smartphones, especially essential applications such as electronic identification, electronic health records, online payment or online file declaration.

Dang Quynh Nga - class 11A4 shared: “At first, many people, especially the elderly, were quite worried when approaching smartphones and digital applications. But after just a few instructions, they became much more confident. When we saw people smile because they were able to complete their online application, we felt that our efforts were truly meaningful.”

Implementing the direction of the Department of Education and Training on continuing to accompany the work of digital transformation and deploying the movement "Digital education for all" in localities, in recent times, the Youth Union of Cam Binh High School has actively responded with many practical and effective activities. The Youth Union has mobilized young union members to participate in supporting and guiding people in the community to perform basic and necessary digital operations such as: registering, installing and using VNeID accounts; digital signature; completing procedures for issuing citizen identification cards; exchanging party membership cards; performing online public services and administrative procedures on digital platforms.

The weekend of Cam Binh High School students became more meaningful with activities to support people.

Mr. Pham Viet Lap - Secretary of the Youth Union of Cam Binh High School commented: "Participating in digital transformation activities helps students become more mature. They know how to behave with people, practice presentation and guidance skills, and especially become more confident. These are essential skills for future digital citizens."

The spread of the spirit of vanguard and volunteerism in the "Digital Education for All" movement has been maintained regularly by schools, becoming a bright spot in the activities of the Union and youth movements, contributing to realizing the goal of building digital citizens in the new era.

Mr. Ho Tien Duong - Principal of Cao Thang High School shared: "Regarding the program of accompanying digital transformation and popularizing digital education, the school recognizes this as a revolution of the times. Each teacher and student is a soldier in the digital transformation and popularizing digital education front. Accordingly, in addition to applying digital technology directly to activities such as: smart attendance by facial recognition, encouraging parents to make cashless payments, conducting competitions and quizzes through digital applications or social networking sites, the school also specifically directs staff, teachers and students to participate in activities to support local people."

In that spirit, the Cao Thang High School Youth Union has established 5 clubs with talented, IT-loving, dynamic, creative students, coordinating with local youth organizations to support functional forces and people in implementing the digital literacy movement such as: guiding people to access and use smart devices, how to use social networks and bank accounts safely as well as installing and supporting the police force in integrating data into VNeID...

Many localities highly appreciate the contributions of the Youth Union of schools in supporting digital transformation. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thao - Secretary of the Youth Union of Truong Luu commune said: "Youth Union members are students with good technology skills, gentle and patient manners, so they are very suitable when guiding people in digital operations. This support helps localities speed up the digital transformation process, while improving people's satisfaction when coming to resolve administrative procedures."

The school youth union force is affirming its pioneering role in administrative reform and digital transformation at the local level.

In recent years, the education sector has become one of the province's pioneering forces in the digital transformation process. With a proactive, creative spirit and determination in implementing tasks, educational institutions have synchronously applied many technology solutions in management and teaching, and actively coordinated with local authorities to support administrative reform and develop a digital society.

Mr. Cao Ngoc Chau - Chief of Office of the Department of Education and Training said: "In addition to increasing the application of technology in management and teaching, teachers and students of schools also actively participate in supporting the community in digital transformation and administrative reform.
