News, pepper price forecast tomorrow June 24, 2025
With current signals, pepper prices on June 24, 2025 are likely to continue to move sideways, with no conditions for recovery in the short term. The domestic and international markets are being affected by excess supply, weak exports and cautious sentiment from stakeholders. If there are no major changes in weather or trade policy, pepper prices will continue to fluctuate around this bottom at least until early July.
Domestic market on June 24, 2025
Domestic pepper prices on June 23, 2025 fluctuated around 133,000 - 134,000 VND/kg, the lowest level since June 2024. It is forecasted that on June 24, pepper prices in key regions such as Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Gia Lai, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai and Ba Ria - Vung Tau will continue to move sideways, fluctuating between 132,500 - 134,500 VND/kg.
The main reason is the surplus supply after the harvest, while the purchasing power from export enterprises remains weak. The cautious psychology of farmers and traders, as both are reluctant to sell at low prices, also makes it difficult for the market to create a sudden price increase. Some areas such as Dak Lak and Dak Nong may record a slight increase of 100-200 VND/kg if export enterprises start to collect goods, but this possibility is not high.
International market on June 24, 2025
In the international market, pepper prices on June 23, 2025 according to the International Pepper Community (IPC) showed stability. Lampung black pepper price (Indonesia) reached 7,452 USD/ton, Muntok white pepper (Indonesia) at 10,066 USD/ton, ASTA black pepper (Malaysia) at 9,000 USD/ton, ASTA white pepper (Malaysia) at 11,750 USD/ton, and Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 was stable at 6,050 USD/ton. Vietnam's pepper export price remained at 6,000 USD/ton (500 g/l), 6,100 USD/ton (550 g/l) and 9,000 USD/ton (white pepper).
It is forecasted that on June 24, international pepper prices will continue to move sideways with slight fluctuations, ranging from ±10–20 USD/ton. Weak demand from major markets such as the US, EU and Asia, along with rising logistics costs and a strong USD, will continue to put pressure on global pepper prices.
